off topic but did we ever see the speed shorts in the tonka stripe cashew/flare? i was wondering if they got uploaded and i missed them

I remember when the uploads used to sell out!

Does anyone recall the Lululemon design contest they had about 6 years ago?!??!!? That needs to happen again!

@ c-lyn - I don't think those got uploaded yet to the US/Canada websites.

The run pace setter in the flare color sold out pretty fast. I wasn't able to snag one, and I was watching the site like a hawk, it also sold out in my local store.

I am not interested in the Whole Hearted Tank. Everytime I see pictures of it, all I can think is how weird those gathers/pleats at the bust are.

On another note, I'm proud of my LLL self control. The Wanderful Flare Pant in black denim went on sale at a local store. I tried them on again and yes, they look good. But I just don't need them. The markdown was not so great either, so in the store they stayed. I also tried on the Bright At Night tight, which I'd have to have hemmed. I was in no hurry to buy those either. They were OK but not the best running pant I've seen/been in.

Anyone seen the milky way scuba? I'm dying for it, but haven't seen it yet. :(

I know this is of topic but I wanted to share, that I went for a run (short) and did a heavy interval as well in the run engage bra (6) in the currant I am 34D and it was really great. I really did not think it was going to hold up, I bought it for hot yoga. Was really surprised

I went to my store yesterday and bought a few things. The whole hearted tank was a pleasant surprise! I love the fit and bought the milky way with a milky way pacesetter. Th gathers in the chest area is fine. I am a 34B if that matters. It is really flattering in this print. I might buy the other two next time I go.
I also tried on the pretty pink speed squad tank and I LOVE this tank (I have all but pigment). The pink is too pale for me. I hate not to have it but it did not deliver. I bought the black and pigment (hence no speed squad tank) in the team spirit tank. I love it and it is a size down. I am a true 4 in tops except scoop me up and had to get a 2. The 4 was too blousy. It is very pretty and cute specially the back. This is very similar to the speed squad tank except different material but length and fit are the same. I did not get the AB since I have too many. I bought a plain black (sometimes I just want to go with the tried and true black) fast and free (size up since I don't like the shine in the material when stretched). I did not care to try the sattva tops since I did not like the fabric. My store did not have the dance studio pants in bordeaux yet. I'm not interested in it but I was curious. I did not like the bright at night because of the excessive pleating. I also bought the tame me tank in cashew/tonka stripe with flare straps. So pretty. Yes it is higher in the chest area but I really like the color blocking so I got it. Okay this is all.

@ Anon 8:21 - that is really interesting! Thanks. I haven't even tried this bra on. I've given up hope that anything besides the TaTaTamer is worthwhile for me.
@ c-lyn - a design contest sounds fun! Additionally, I would like a custom Define and/or In-Stride option. You hearing me, LLL? I would pay extra to be able to mix and match the jacket color, Lulu symbol color, inside collar color, and so forth from a range of fun solids and patterns. Think: Nike I.d. Website. How fun would that be?!? You could go neutral with the jacket, but make the lulu symbol something super loud, like Flare, Flash, or Pow Pink. Or you could make the whole thing a crazy mis-mash of bright colors: Power Purple with a Flare Lulu symbol and an Angel Blue inside Collar. Oh, the money I spend!!!

Why is Lulu all over the place with their styles and color schemes lately? Feels sloppy and I think it works against their brand image.

I picked up the dance studio crops in bordeaux drama today in my local store. LOVE! I wish they had them in lined though. Yikes, Nebraska winters are not fun. I have never gotten the pants, but I tried on unlined today and whoa, they are long. I'm sure everyone knows this, but they were crazy long! I am 5'6" and have unusually long legs--I usually require a 34" inseam with moderate heels. These had to have been 35". I would have had to hem a pair of pants for the first time in my life! I passed on them, however as I don't need unlined long pants for winter. Had they been lined and in the bordeaux color, I would have gotten them instead of the unlined crops.

Secondly, I thought I would comment on the recent changes in the Flow Y. I hate the new style! It is decidedly less-coverage up front. There are so many options for smaller chested ladies, and so very few for us larger chested ones (34DD) and now they have to take away the Flow Y too. It was never enough support for high-impact activities, but now I look like I'm about to mount a stripper pole. For reference, in case you have any older ones, I used to require a size 8. Now I need a 10. Even though I sized up, it is 1 inch less coverage up front. Also, the band around the rib cage is totally different. It isn't as soft and it is a wider band as well. Furthermore, if you grab your usual size (now too small) you will hear seams popping as you try to get it over your head. I am not a fan of the changes and may now resort to Ebay. My store had 1 left in the older style so I snagged it for backup even though I don't need another black Flow Y. But, I'll consider it now "vintage." :)

THanks for much for the blog! Love it!

@ anon 8:21, I wear my run engage bras for all of my high intensity workouts, I just LOVE that bra, the best LLL bra ever made, IMO. I am currently waiting for it to go online in the blue tonka stripe as that color is on the AUS side LOL!

PP - Thanks for the size/store update, helpful for those of us far from a store!

I actually wore the engage bra all day yesteray (for business, only non-racerback tank I had that didn't peek out of my business clothes!) and it dug and rubbed all along the area above my right armpit. Wondering if I got one with a defective seam. But it's still bruised purple. Won't be wearing it again.

OT - So I've gotten to the point where I can't keep buying Lulu without selling some stuff, so I put it on eBay (my first time selling) and a lot of my stuff didn't sell. I realize some of this has to do with pricing, but I researched that, and think I'm pretty fair. So my question, is Lulu stuff not selling like it used to on eBay right now? Might this be related to Lulu quality scares? Or does it always take a while to sell stuff? Or it's just a bad week?
Thanks for any opinions!

And a Carry and Go Hoodie in commuter denim deepest cranberry (red) size 12 just added! I got this hoodie in black, and I LOVE it. Super cute with your tank showing underneath.

I'm getting really bored with these uploads. I need sweaters and pants! ( Cropped sweaters don't count ) Not skirts and tanks. It's dipping down to 6 degrees celsius tonight. Sunday is supposed to have a low of 4 I'm freezing! - Jenn

Anon 12:49:

I also sell stuff on eBay for the same reason--I'm at the point where when I buy new things, I've got to sell some!

Here is what I have found: size, color, and whether or not The item is current. I also price really low in most cases, because it does get bid up. I just aim to make what I spent on the item. Sometimes I make more, sometimes less, and sometimes I break even.

I don't do buy it now, because inevitably when I say no, the item makes around $20-$30 more than the offer.

I usually do a 3 day auction, especially if I've bought a lot from the new upload. Right now I've been buying lots of pigment & AB, so I'm about to post some things.

I also try and describe the item as best as possible- how long I've had it, and how I've cared for it. I also try and get back to people's questions within 5 hours.

These are things I've found that have helped me.

I use eBay to keep my collection manageable. Tops sell better bottoms, shorts and skirts better than crops and pants. Outerwear and cover-ups are always popular. Size, color, and age all impact demand. Size 6 is LLL most popular size and it also gets the best price in the resale market. Pretty colors command higher prices than black, grey, and other neutrals. Offering free shipping is a sure way to liquidate ho hum items, just be sure to limit this option to your home country to minimize your costs. Sometimes I'm happy just to ship my unloved LLL into a new home where someone else will appreciate it. It's a sunk cost for you so anything you get from eBay is a bonus. I start my auctions around 1/2 of original cost and let the bidders decide what it's worth. Never had an unsuccessful auction.

I sell a lot of my LLL on ebay too. Those are great tip s Anon 8:44.
I find some items go fast and on the first auction. Others, I've had to list 2-3 times. I've never had a "bad" auction and for the most part I've broken even overall.
Just be very clear in your details and descriptions.
I also save all my tags and receipts and LLL bags to include in auctions.

Annie- milky way dd appear in Chicago stores and I love it!!! It's ultra soft and such a funky print. Hope you see it in your area soon!

@anon 6:35 Which Chicago stores?! I'm a two hour drive from Chicago and I need it.

This is anon with the eBay questions - just wanted to say thanks for the advice! I've followed most of it although I used 7-day auctions and started prices just below my break-even but maybe should've started higher. Most of my stuff is older Lulu, a few vintage, and a few new things. No bad experiences yet, just only 2 out of 12 sold on first auction. Seems like when I'm the buyer, nothing I'm interested in doesn't sell before it closes! Thanks again, appreciate you taking the time!
