Spotted in Stores: Aphrodite Crop, Pretty Pink Star Runner Pullover, & LS Star Runner In Bordeaux

This lucky lady happens to live near a store that is among the first in the US to get the newest things. Shown in this photo is a Star Runner LS in Pretty and a Star Runner LS in Bordeaux. The other items picture are the new Aphrodite Crop ($78) in Bordeaux and a Pretty Pink CRB. I believe the Aphrodite crops are made of luon but will confirm for you. There are also new Inspire crops in Deep Coal with Bordeaux accents on the waist and calf. I don't have a good photo of those yet. (Thanks to Ms. Q. for the photo.)

Pretty is right! I really love hot pink with the bordeaux colored pants too!

I am so torn on which Star Runners to keep and what to return (and what might be coming...). I love Lulu winter clothes for casual wear and workout wear. I'm one of the few that the LS looks better on than the pullover (I think the thinner material on the sides of the pullover accentuates my love handles). And I normally just do black or gray with a very occasional true red - but I like this BD color! Very dangerous to my wallet!

I live in Canada and we got the Aphrodite Crops on last week's upload. They are luon and luxtreme. Check the Canadian Lulu page for more info and photos.

Just checked. The Aprodite Crops are on the US website too.

Goodness LLL is so boring. Pink, pink and more pink. I agree with others who have pointed out where are the greens?

Enough with crops already. LLL make some serious cold weather running pants/tights, jackets, gloves.

@ anon 10:31 am - Thanks. I'll change the NEW to new. ;-)

Agreed about the cold winter wear. It's cold where I'm at and loving my gratitude wrap. When will more wraps appear?

I haven't been this bored with Lulu since being hooked over 2 years ago. Ever since Lulu changed some things on their classic (triangle gusset, longer length of Power-Ys, etc.) I've been loosing interest. I used to be in a Lulu store almost every week. Now I just check the stuff on upload and don't even bother to go to the store.... no interest in anything lately !!! :(

I am also looking forward to more cold weather gear. I use mine mostly as casual wear or as to/from wear, as I do most workouts indoors. Actually, I look forward to more of everything. Hoping to see more of the new blue soon and some nice luxtreme crops with cute detailing!

Wouldn't a bordeaux method wrap be great? Hell.... We have so much in that color already, why not throw that in too!

I love lulu... I have so much it's crazy. But, I happened to be in the gap today and tried their version of the scuba on.... It was nice. Very tempting.

The summer colors were so fun! I am not a fan of any of the new colors. But since lulu seems to be following the trend with Bordeaux, I'm hoping some jewel tone greens will come....

Studio dance pants are going up to $108!! Buy them now if you want them!

I'm in the same boat with everyone that is bored and I am freezing! Zero degrees tonight and my only options are scratchy wool sweaters with back cut outs and ugly pants. I am begging lulu to take my money and all I want in return is to be cute and warm. -Jenn

OT: my 6-month old Paris Pink/Coal NLT bled again! After numerous wears and washes. The last time it did was when it was still brand new. Crazy.

I honestly can't believe that pants are going up. Over $100 now?

I think I'll be forced to buy everything used from now on, or move on to other workout wear.

The Calvin Klein stuff I've been seeing in Winners lately is quite nice. I've got some pants and a sweater or two...

any ideas what to expect on upload tonight besides more BD and pretty pink stuff? I really want to see some new colors like that new sky blue, and mam needs some new bras, wraps, and technical wear!

Agree with those looking for cold weather clothes -- especially for running.

Of all the lulu colors I have, I have no green (the closest is menthol...). I would love jewel tone greens as well!

I know people hate the triangle gusset, and I'm not a fan, either. However, the luxtreme crops have had a triangle gusset for a long time. I have inspire crops from last year, and they have a triangle gusset. The luon guessed is the only one that's changed. I think it doesn't work, because it's placed too far back, and luon rides up more than luxtreme, which stays put. This is just my experience, though.

I can confirm for you that the Dance Studio pant ii has already gone up to $108 in stores (I'm in Canada). I bought the Bordeaux pant last Friday in size 2. I decided over the weekend to go back to my usual size 4. I exchanged them this a.m. and the old $98 is stickered over with $108. Obviously I didn't have any problem exchanging at the old price. I do not think I will be buying anymore DS pants at that price. $98 pre-tax was already so steep! Plus, I have 2 pairs of the Quick Step pant, which I really wish LLL would bring back. They are more tailored, which is my preference, and just a better design overall imho. I did fall for the Bordeaux DS pant though!

On sizing, I'm the one that wrote before on should I go size 2 or 4 as I can get away with both (someone did write and gave advice - thanks.) I could totally have done either 2 or 4 and even the educator was on the fence because both worked/looked good and it was down to my preference. I decided to go back for the 4's as this pant will mostly get worn in the winter and I'll wear a footed dress type tight under them when necessary. I wish these were lined for winter!

Since LLL has increased the price, they could have added a removable liner? I realise they line the white ones due to transparency/visuals, but I think people are wanting lined ones for Winter?

@ 6:32 AM...agreed over $100 for pants is crazy.

I have been where you've been with Winners cast offs from CKlein, alo, Kodon (sp?), adidas, nike etc. With the exception of some Nike & Adidas gear for running, I now pass on the rest of the brands aimed at the yoga market. It doesn't fit anywhere near as well, often very poly and non-breathable, or it has no gussett. Sure a pair of pants may by $30-$40, but they won't hold up like LLL does. Hence, that $30 pre-tax totally ends up being a waste of money. I would wait and invest it in LLL gear, and just be really selective about what I buy. I have a good amount now so am very selective and non-impulive. When LLL goes weird with syle, colour etc., I just wait until they make something aimed at me (classic).

5:57 my paris pink energy bra still bleeds like crazy and I have washed it many many times. I wear it around the house, and if I workout in it, I don't wear anything light colored I wash and hang it separate from anything.

Anon 8:45 - I am also b/w 2 and 4 for most but I sized up to 4 in the unlined DSP. 2 was more "flattering" but I swear ppl look like they have major wedgies when they pick the wrong size...the model in the earlier post in pigment looks amazing but even her, looks like wedgie.

6:32 here - I have a pair of Kyodan(sp) "ebb & flow" crops and they have a diamond gusset, aren't sheer, and have held up beautifully!

I don't mind spending a little extra for good quality, but...that has been sorely lacking with Lulu lately, and the "little" extra is becoming extreme. I'm an addict with years' worth of Lulu, and closet(s) full, but I haven't been buying nearly as much as I used to - the only thing in months being the Bordeaux and Pigment DSP both of which I am returning :(, and the run duffel in Bordeaux which I LOVE.

I need a pair of run pants (only have crops and it gets cold here in Alberta!!) but other than that, nothing excites me. And I can't find any run pants I Like either right now.

My love affair has been slowly dwindling, and with rising prices, may extinguish altogether.

Bought dance studio pants on Saturday morning. The educator rang them up and they came up to $108, but the tag still said $98 so she honored that. She didn't know anything about the price change and seemed as confused as i was. Wow to charge $98 is crazy, but to raise them by $10 is quite steep! I could see maybe$2 or $4. Just seems, wrong and greedy.

@ 11:21 AM, cool you've had some good luck with non-LLL stuff. I am with you on the cold weather winter wear product is needed. LLL needs to get with it! I'm in Ontario and in winter we get everything. It can be generally quite cold, so I need the thick/winter weight pants/tights. I have an amazing pair of Sugoi tights that I don't want to give up, but the zipper went on one pant. I'm not sure if it's decently repairable. I need to acquire new or more winter gear and will go elsewhere if, as per usual, LLL misses the mark and market on this by not coming up with anything serious for winter running. I don't need another crop or a puffy jacket!

Brrr on your Alberta winters. I have been there in Spring and Fall (can be quite chilled) and was there a couple years ago during one of your winters. It was crazy cold!
Cheers and happy running!
