Back on Track, Uba Hoodie, Sit and Be Still and More

Cute photos of the Silver Slate Back on Track Tank and the Tender Violet Reversible Wunder Unders. Since these WUs reverse to black the coverage on these is good though they tend to feel a bit rubbery to me.

I was hoping to see the Uba Hoodie at the store today but my store did not get them yet. If they hit the markdown rack for a decent price I'd consider it.

Still not loving the Clutch Coat.

Polar Cream Rose Herringbone Free to Be Bra, Heart Opener Tank, True Bliss Pant. I love the print on the bra straps. Why couldn't an Energy Bra come out in this print?

Full Stride Skirt, Creamsicle Pop Cool Racerback, Uba hoodie

Polar Cream/Rose Herringbone No Limit Tank.

Lovely Sit and Be Still pant photos.  ;-)

Heart Opener tank - I did not see this at the store today.

Tender Violet Define and matching Groove pants. I was tempted to get this Define today but decided it was too close to my Potion Define so could resist.

@LLA Since the quality of lulu is declining and some people are turning to other brands, I'm curious, what other brands do lululovers go to?

The sit & be still pants are shown much too small! Y
They are supposed to be worn loose and low slung.

I don't see a WMTM upload this morning is it just me?

What I don't get, and I mean TRULY do not understand, is why why WHY Lululemon would put all that REFLECTIVE detailing on a jacket meant to get you home, when they put minimal on their products they actually expect you to RUN in!!?!?

Can someone, anyone, please please PLEASE explain that to me?? I have RUN jackets, they have less reflective tape, in fact the only bits of reflection are the logo (covered by my hair) little tiny bits on the cuff (usually get rolled up etc) and.. oh wait, that's right, there are no more reflective parts. But a jacket your going to wear in your car or the bus on the way home, well, lets make sure you are visible from space?? Give me a break.

bummed that there are no new items in WMTM.

Those Sit and Be Still pants look like something out of the SNL "Mom Jeans" sketch from a few years ago!!!

Does anyone else get the urge to correct these yoga poses that aren't quite there yet, it's probably just when the photo was taken but that last one just makes me want to tell her to get that lifted hip down.

I'm too OCD about my job.

I still haven't changed mind about it being the eighties upload, my daughter even found a picture of Boy George on one of the Culture Club albums wearing what must have been the original Intuition Sweater and a Peace of Mind Scarf.

@ Lem - I think Zobha is pretty good. I found their material to feel a lot like luon though it slightly hotter because it doesn't breathe as well but it's nearly a push there. Kira Grace is decent though I found their Warrior Legging goes a bit sheer when you bend. Their Warrior Stance tank is super soft and the material feels a lot like old luon. The bra is supportive but is a bit tricky if you are busty because it runs just a bit short. The also sent me their Goddess Halter tank which I have yet to review. I also like Margarita brand but only have a jacket and pants in that. It's made of Dupont Supplex which is very durable but a little scratchy. To get a softer feel you have to buy the tie dye material. It's a very showy brand, though. All of the above brands have fit issues for me compared to lulu. Other people have tried Nancy Rose, Beyond Yoga, Nux, Splits 59. I have some Beyond Yoga stuff. Their material is very soft. You can pick it up on sale for a decent price.

I love Nike and Under Armour's brand image, maybe because I associate it with guys and more hardcore athletes that I truly envy :)

LLL is starting to feel overly girly / silly for me. Maybe because the latest designs have been so unattractive - case in point that bathrobe thing in photos.

I personally love the idea of the Uba hoodie but I wish the logo weren't so noticeable. I'm starting to not like stuff that screams out LLL.

On a side note I tried on the Heart Opener tank in TV. I had high hopes thinking it would look cute unbuttoned over a sports bra. It didn't in real life. Hung funny, wayyyy too thin, would bag out and show every sweat mark. Actually reminded me of my $5 H&M tanks from a few years ago.

I love Splits 59 and have been buying more of their stuff lately. Actually they just had some cute new stuff uploaded this week in the poppy color. I've gotten a few of their pants, the Raquels & Kim's being a couple of my favorites, and love them all. There is a bit of sheerness in the pants but not horrible.

LLA, do Nux ship out of the US?

I didn't see anything about shipping at all on their web site. I like the look of some of their stuff though.

Did anyone else see the tender violet scuba pictured with the black peace of mind toque? has that already come 9yt? it looks very pretty!

Zobha and Beyond Yoga have some great colors. I'm a 4 in Lulu (on the fuller end of a 4, but 6s are too big) and I fit Zobha size 2, Beyond yoga XXS (their material is super stretchy so I had to size down like crazy).

I recently ordered a few pairs of the Zobha straight leg capris on sale but discovered that they too use a "half gusset" (triangle) which gives me CT. But that might just be me, because I know some people don't have any CT problems with the triangle gusset. Otherwise the crops felt great (no sheerness). The picture on their model suggests a diamond gusset which is what prompted me to purchase.

I walk to yoga every day. Half the days at 6am and the other half 7:30 pm. It's dark by that time so I'm glad to have a reflective hoodie to put on after class. I run at lunch so don't have a problem with run gear not being reflective enough though I can see why someone would want that. I guess lulu caters to my life style well but not everyone's :/

@ Anonimouse 6:41...while some of us may observe this (yoga form), please refrain from judgment. Remember that "there is no perfect pose" as all of our bodies are created differently, practice is never complete, some of these people are possibly still learning, or maybe don't even really do yoga (therefore are only imitating what they've seen).

@ 5:58, fair points you have made on lack of reflectivity detail on items that truly need it.

The latest clothes...pass, pass, pass. It's all unappealing to me.

They have in the past...my Hustle jacket has plenty of night time visibility, and it isn't as in your face as the tape. Then again, LLL quality and design were better a couple of years ago.

Does anyone know if there is not going to be a WMTM upload this week?

Why did they show the Sit and Be Still pants worn this way? They are supposed to be trouser-style, not hiked up with the pleats accentuating the FUPA (in my case, maybe not for others ;-) ). I have a pair of the It's Happening Jodhpur and I was told by the store staff that I was "wearing them too low" when I went to get them hemmed. She said I was "supposed to" pull them up high and roll down the waistband. Nope! They're jodhpurs.

@ anony 10.12

I'm well aware that all bodies are different having instructed for over 20 years but by doing the pose in that way and by hiking her hip she's also shortening through her QL and overworking her obliques on one side, that's not something that should be encouraged even in a beginner.

If you re read my post you will in fact see that I also said it could have been an awkward camera shot, in which case it wouldn't have been her at all.

When the tender violet reversible wunder unders reverse to black, you can see the tender violet stitching at the seams. To me, that doesn't make it reversible because it looks messy. Annoying that they call it reversible so it costs more than regulart wunder unders.

sophia said...

at anon 5:51 - it's interesting that you find the tv stiching messy...i actually really like it! i like that they're black with purple sticthing...i think it's cute but understated.

I agree with anon 5:51, the purple stitching on the tv wunders when worn as black is not flattering...especially at the crotch and bum area, it just draws attention where it shouldn't.

The Silver Slate Back on Track Tank just has too much going on with the conflicting rose and stripe patterns on the bra, which is too bad.
