NEW! Rose Herringbone Bangbuster

As some of you know (or now know - lol)  I have a pretty extensive headband collection but I really 'need' this one. It's so pretty!

Is it weird that my first thought was "Gee, cute brunette model's hair is getting SO long" - like we're friends or something?

Only a little. ;-) We *do* see them a lot on a weekly basis.

OT - so i'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a pair of zella "live in" leggings (the zella version of WU). WU are too low rise on me, plus with all the sheerness, gusset problems, and price hikes, i've decided to look elsewhere. figured i'd try out zella...because well, their return policy is amazing. nothing to lose (hear that christine day? maybe you SHOULD be more like nordstrom..it's where i'm going to go spend money that would have gone to lulu and your pocket). ANYWAY...the point is, i know that some of you girls have tried zella before. i'm ordering online and wanted know how they run size wise? I'm a lulu 6 - do I stick with a zella small (4-6) or size up or down? any help would be appreciated! thanks!

oh, and i should mention that zella just uploaded some super cute space dye "live in" leggings!

I dunno....I'm not "in love" with the current prints. Lately, I stalk eBay for older prints, which were much prettier. In the past, they had such a huge selection on prints. the last 3 years...I find myself wondering WHERE they came up with the idea to do this ugly print or that ugly print. Some are cute, but lets be honest....most are pretty fugly! :( I guess they figure, "who cares what print, we put out, people will buy it and if we buy the ugliest print, it's costing us the least amount of money and we can still sell it for $108." That's probably where their mind is... LOL

I like this headband. I have 4 of these. and I am beginning to get obsessed like you LLA.
I think they should do a story on the models on their website, it would be interesting.

I love the rose herringbone print with the BD jacket!

OT and FYI to whomever is trying to decide about the BS TST: I waited to pull the trigger and now size 6 is sold out. Very sad. I will be checking stores today to see if they have them. Has anyone in Chicago seen BS TST in stores? Thank you!

Not sure what that says @ you or I, because I thought the same thing! :)

This is pretty I think I'm going to need this as well :) Will this be in the next upload do you know?

Speaking of lulu models, I feel like we haven't seen Jenn in quite some time. She's one of my favorites:).

Thats funny, I was thinking the same thing. Her hair looks gorgeous. I just purchased the rose herringbone define at my local store. It is so nice in person. The pictures do not do it any justice. It looks great on too.

I have the Zella live-in leggings and I wear a size 6 in lulu and a small size in Zella. FYI, I would never wear a 4. I would be more inclined to go up than down.

Shopping trip today!! ended up with the gray and cream spin city tee, and the new tender violet headband (the little grippers are perfect!)

They hadn't gotten in the BTC jacket in BS but I loved the black I tried on! I will check back religiously so as not to miss it! THis will be a size up item for me!

would love to know if anyone has purchased the fly away tamer headband. if so, how is it in the non-slip department?

@anon 10:30 AM:
I know Jenn moved away from Vancouver (I can't remember the name of the town), so I wonder if we'll see her again. She's one of my favorites, too. I also like the blonde-haired model that has been modeling for some time now-she was always featured in the same uploads as Jenn, because I can see what colors look good. I have the same coloring as her.

Sophia, if you're a 6 in Lulu definitely get a small in Zella. I'm a Lulu 4 and take xsmall in zella bottoms, though I can also get away with small. I think medium will be too large for you. HTH!

@anon 12:47 and 11:01 - thanks for the help! i ordered the small (good news is that if they're too small or too big, i can just return them for the right size, no problem!)

I have size 10 studio pants unlined version and I want the lined version now. My pants is baggy a little... Do I need to size down on the lined version or not? Does the pants is going to stretch??? Thanks :) (and sorry for my english... I'm french....) ;)

Am I the only one who wears this headband with the elastic part *under* my hair?

The models are always wearing it over the back of their hair and for some reason it gives 70s hippie flashbacks.

Is the back to school jacket similar to the movement jacket that was out a couple years ago?

i was thinking the same thing... i love her hair!

How do you know the models' names? And which one is Jenn? Just curious!!! I always think of the models of my lulu friends lol.

I feel like I can tell what season the photo shoots were, because I can tell when the blonde & brunette were tanned. Hate to say it but I can even see their weight go up and down, puffy days, etc.

@tite - I just bought the black swan lined studio pants. I wear a 6 in the unlined ones, but I bought a 4 in the lined ones...the 6 also fit, but I liked the slightly snugger fit of the 4. I wouldn't size up. Either stay tts or size down.

@pamela - i just got the new tv headband. The grippers are exactly like those on the swiftly headband. They work for me....the slipless headband (one with the solid gripper band) always slides off my head...but the mini gripper dots work well

In other news, I just picked up a back to class jacket. I sized up from my normal 6 to an 8. The 6 fit, but VERY snug....like you could see the outline of my flow y bra underneath my swiftly tank underneath the jacket snug. I sized up, and it's fitted like on the model

@ anon 3:58 pm - Jenn is the model with wavy blonde hair and the really beautiful smile. I've seen her name mentioned on this blog and I believe she's a lulu ambassador. Jenn and the model pictured in this post are my faves (<3 them all though:).

The new patterns (floral, gingham, glencheck etc.) don't appeal to me in the least. But as usual this will just be a segment of me contentedly passing on these items from LLL. I will await something that appeals to me. Not a spinner so pass on those items...some could be multi-purposed for running or yoga but again, they don't appeal to me at all to acquire them.

I saw the Runder Under l/s in person and I was underwhelmed, although I do love rulu. Maybe when it goes to wmtm.

Happy to get the Black Swan CRB today in store in my size. It's washed and ready to go for hot vinyasa flow tomorrow.

@ anonymous me...who knows why they style the models like that with the headbands. If people wear it like that as an accessory, good for them. It would slide right off my head. Me, hair goes up in a pony (long hair) and the headband goes at my hairline top and bottom/back. I really do use mine to stop sweat!

The new shoppers are cool. Black & White theme still. They have a "motorcycle/biker guy" cross armed on them. Close-up of boot detail on the sides, "namaste." across the front and "ride on." on the bottom.

I typically wear 6 to 8 in lulu pants and ordered a M in Zella but they were more snug than I'd like. I'll exchange for a L.

I wear my headbands with the elastic under my hair, not the way they show them in the pics. The bang busters are my favorite. I've purchased every headband and this one is the only one that keeps out the wispies.

I'm jelly! I want that define SOOO bad but I'm prego and I don't know what size to get... My normal size 6 defines are looking like October will be the last month of wear for a while being that I can barely comfortably zip them up at 5 months now, lol! I am going to LLL tomorrow to see it in person :)

OT: Is the black swan CRB soft or more poly feeling? I hope they have it at the store tomorrow but any info would be greatly appreciated :)

I still can't make up my mind on the BTC....
OT: did anyone notice that suddenly you can't find a single In Stride jacket on the site anywhere?

@anon 3:58:

Jenn has a blog, but she hasn't updated it in awhile. It's called smile with your heart. She talks about her adventures- the most recent was her move.

I love the BTC jacket but quality control is still iffy. The lulu design on the front of mine was crooked.

Also bleeding is still happening, now with Bordeaux Drama. Ugh. I love Lulu but they really need to get their act together.

@ Sandra 7:42, the Black Swan CRB is 92% Nylon & 8% Lycra Spandex. It is "normal" CRB feel - smooth and soft enough in my opinion (but not as soft as a heathered version). Not unlike my other older solid CRB's, and is the same as my most recent this year, Pigment and Porcelaine. It is not the very soft of the Angel Blue CRB (which I also have and love). Btw the contrast stitching on the reverse is creamsicle. Hope you get yours!

Thank you!

I went to LLL today, the black swan crb looked very dark indigo almost black to me. It wasn't soft but it was decent like my pow pink crb. I tend to reach more for my heathered CRBs and my pop orange is pretty soft too so I didn't buy the black swan.
