Sneak Peak on Accessories in the New Barre Collection

Lululemon is releasing some barre class related items this week. The lulu blog has a sneak peek on some of the accessories for the line. A reader who saw them already reports she thinks the scarf is $78 and comes in Black and Black Swan and the ear warmer is $42. The socks have gripper dots and the bag is on the smaller side, in between the small backpack lulu released this summer and their other bags.

Do yall think we'll finally see some of the new blues this week?

Any news on other items that will be in this line!? I've been hoping for a Barre capsule collection!!! But so far only the socks are actually appealing, I would never need a scarf or ear warmers in Barre class. These look more like winter street wear to me.

So I assume I am supposed to wear the ear warmer and scarf in class, since these are barre items? I should wear them with the tutu I got last year.
But seriously, the ear warmer is cute, but at least in the small picture there the scarf looks like a giant baby/toddler big - you know the kind that has the big pocket in the front that catches all of the food.

That scarf looks insanely huge and bulky.

I go to barre class at least 2x/week and I seriously can't say that any of these overpriced accessories are useful for barre workouts. I would love to go to the studio that the accessory designer goes to where she says that it's cold before class. Ours is warm even before class and I end up roasting during the workout.

Does anyone think that this stuff will be useful?

I was really excited to see a barre class line but am really confused on why you would ever wear that ear warmer inside?? It has never been cold where I take class... Hoping there's some better stuff in the upload!

OT - did the WU's come in Black Swan? If so, did they ever hit the website (Canada or US) or are they just in stores? Thanks!

bahhh, danger for meeee. i'm a religious bar method girl.
those socks and headwarmer and must buys. can't wait to see the clothes!!

Hmm... I don't always understand the reasoning behind LLL's gear. I took ballet classes for 15yrs and have taken many barre classes. Yes, the studio can be cold, but a bulky scarf will only get in your way and keep your instructor from seeing and correcting your form. I'm happy to spend lulu prices on cute, QUALITY gear with an actual purpose, but don't put a special spin on a scarf that's just a scarf.

Interesting... it's like they wanted to do a Barre collection, but since their pants and tops are already pretty functional for Barre they just made up crap that isn't useful at all. Most everyone I've seen in Barre classes wear black socks, too.

that ear warmer looks like the headwraps worn by hasidic jewish women...

I want a scarf since it's getting cooler... Don't they sell vinyasa scarves anymore??? I'm kicking myself for not getting power purple one!! Does anybody know whether they are coming back soon?? That barre scarf is too big!

i love pure barre!

I have barre classes every week and I would never need to wear an ear warmer or scarf during class. It's not cold before, during or after my classes.

They could just have sold these as regular ear warmers or scarves. Labelling them as "barre" accessories is just a way to hike up prices again.

I'm interested in the bag but why it's a bag specifically for barre class, I don't know. The socks are cute but I can easily find quality socks with gripper dots. I don't need them to be branded consider the wear and tear they'll inevitably get.

I know I'm waiting for more vinyasa scarves too! I snagged two - one in heathered black and another in power purple - before they were taken off the site and out of stores...i reallyyyyy hope more are coming though!!

I read "barre scarf" as "barf scarf." Kind of my opinion of it. I would think that leg warmers would be useful for barre, or a thin wrap, but earmuffs? ugly pink socks? a purse? uh ok...

I go to Bar Method 5 times a week, and the only thing here that might be useful for me is the socks. Personally, I'd love a barre capsule that included a few good pairs of sticky/studded socks and maybe some leg warmers. I am just gullible enough to also probably buy some new tank design with a fancy name that made it sound exclusive for barre addicts in some fun new colors. Really, what differentiates barre from yoga such that it requires different clothes? Basically just socks and maybe leg warmers. Like yoga, you wear tanks, crops/pants, to-and-from gear, and some good non-skid socks. But, come up with some cool new stuff in those categories, and we're probably all just lulu-addicted enough to buy it, thinking we just have to have it because we're barre devotees!

I think Lulu is getting desperate and making up various clothing items, stating you can wear this to and from your class. I don't think the head warmer and scarf are made for an indoor class. LMAO.... It's just another gimmick to sell items and make money. next step, they will have Jessica Simpson doing weight watchers wearing Lululemon, just to sell their clothes. LOL....

The ear warmers and scarf are to and from pieces, not to be worn in class. I know everyone was burned by the quality issues of the summer, but it feels like you all have pitchforks waiting for every new product to be released so you can talk about how big bad lululemon is trying to rip you off, or how insane the concept is.

They don't design every piece for every person on purpose because you all have different likes and opinions. That should be embraced!

I actually asked someone online a few days ago if they were coming out with more. I swear for the longest time they had the 3 colors in stock, and then one day they all disappeared! All they could tell me was that they don't know what they'll be getting until it comes in. I have one, but really wanted another...guess I waited too long:(

Agree that the ear warmers and scarf are to-and-from pieces but why sell them specifically as barre accessories when they could very well just be sold as regular accessories.

The only barre specific accessory in this sneak peek are the socks. Let's hope there are more goodies like that in the upload.

I don't know why so many ppl get so angry or negative about new lines or changes if you don't like it don't buy it that's what I do like above said they can't please everyone!
I think the bag is cute and am interested to see what else will be in the upload tonight! Remember its just clothes there are far worse things going on in the world then pink socks and hoodie changes ;)

I'm hoping one of the new barre offerings is some sort of shrug since they talk about keeping warm in a cool studio until you heat up.

Is there a new method called Ice Barre? Are people taking class outside in Canada? I can’t imagine wearing a thick wooly ear band and giant afghan to take class. I assume they are to-and-from winter accessories, but I do not understand why these pieces are in a collection that is branded as functional barre clothing.

My method socks from lulu looked completely worn and ragged after one wear to class and one wash on delicate in a mesh laundry bag.

sure they're not for **everyone** but seriously, for most of us, this stuff just isn't cute. I live in Iowa, yes, it's cold, no it's not a fashion capital, but even I wouldn't wear that sweater bandage on my head or ridiculous neck poncho. I swear, the guys at my company (utilities) have lunchbags that look like that sack. I bet they got it for $9.98 at our local walmart.

For those that might be willing to try a Vinyasa scarf replacement, Road Runner Sports just came out with their version of it. I haven't tried it out or anything. I just noticed it on a flyer when I ordered some shoes. They have great customer service.

$78 lulu scarf? Have they lost their minds? At that price you may as well spend another $20 and get a cashmere burberry scarf.
