Swiftly Turtlenecks, Wee Space Crops, and More

This woman is selling me on the Wee Space Limitless Blue Run: For Your Life Crops. Paired with the Love Red Swiftly turtleneck. I wonder how hard to get over your head the t-neck is.

The Limitless Blue/Clarity Yellow Inspire crops with a U-Turn Pullover and Swiftly turtleneck. Too bad the U-Turn isn't solid Clarity. I would like the combo with the Inspires much better.

I decided I wasn't much of a fan of the color blocking in the U-Turn but the monochromatic scheme works here. This one reverses to solid black. Shown with the Top Speed crops.

New Top Speed Crops come with the Silver Slate Rose print waistband.

This woman makes a great model for lulu. I love that she is curvy so we can get a real sense how the clothes work on an hourglass shape. She's wearing the new Black Swan/Raspberry Glo Spin It to Win It tank.

I really like the black and gray u-turn, as well. Much better than the other color schemes.

For those wondering, the sparkle WU's do have subtle sparkles in them, and they are thicker and less stretchy than usual. They felt very denim-like to me.

That woman looks fab in the loveless red tank! I usually don't like reds or orange red.

I know I said those inspires remind me of school colors, but I like them based on these pics.

Personally, I can't imagine anything more uncomfortable than wearing a turtleneck while running. Yuck!!!!!!

OT - looking for advice. New to running in cold weather (right now 20s but sunny) and thought I needed a warm jacket but realized I totally overheat in my core area but legs and arms are freezing during runs. I wore a light jacket today with a LS top and had the jacket off within 2 minutes but my butt and legs were frozen by the time I finished! (was wearing bright at night pants with long wool socks and my hubby thought I was nuts, he heats up more evenly and kept his jacket on)

Anyone else have similar experiences and how do you battle this? I'm thinking warmer pants (or two pairs) and less uptop with arm-warmers. Any thoughts? Thanks very much for advice!

I agree she makes a beautiful model! I have a similar shape (curvy & fit:), so it's nice to get an idea of how the new releases will look on my body type. Also, I really like that this store chose to forgo the overdone Instagram filters that are so popular now. The photos seem "real" and I like that.

Easton! That's my store! Columbus, OH :). She is a fantastic model!

It seems that Lulu is done with Alberta Lake without giving me two items I have been waiting to buy this season: crb and wunder under pants. Why did Lulu have to put it in stripes, make it heather-ed, or use it in non standard pants?

i also love the look of those wee space limitess blue run for your life crops. I am usually a pink girl.(Maybe a little blue is in my future) Wonder how they would look all my pink tanks....

I'm relatively new to lulu and haven't seen the U-Turn before -- any details/specs/fit reviews? Is it rulu? Does it keep you warmer than a swiftly l/s? Anyone know the price? Thanks!

OT: Anyone tried the Method Socks? Are the grips on the toes as well as the soles? thanks.

Sigh. I am seriously sick of LLL changing products without updating the descriptions! How are we supposed to know what we are ordering?! They sneak in pants that give us camel toe, they snuck in the scuba change, the Flow Y, Inspire crops, they changed the material of *some* CRB's to luon light (I'm talking to you angel CRB), now it sounds like the rasberry glo vinyasa is luon light and NOT rulu? Does anyone have this and know for sure? I have 5 vinyasas and I was hoping this one would be the same.

Eeewwww a luon scarf does not sound good. I really like my rulu power purple vinyasa.

Wow, that model looks amazing! She's totally inspiring me to put down the Halloween candy and go out for a run.

To anon 11:27 get the brushed wunder under pant currently on the website. These pants are heaven to run in cold, and very cold weather. They keep my legs warm without overheatig me. I love them so much that I got a second pair as a back up. I wear lulu RULU running pullovers with a CRB or another running tank underneath. Gloves and ear warmers and I'm all set for a run in below freezing temperatures.

Hi anon 1127- totally hear you- I really feel the cold usually but do overheat on runs.

I like to keep my head and hands covered (hat, gloves) as that's where I lose a lot of heat. I much prefer layers I can tear them off and the layers also trap heat between them do they don't need to be super bulky. arm warmers, yes! These are great for races in spring/early fall too where you can have your bib number on a short sleeve shirt and adjust your arms as you need to (no messing with more layers).

There are some great blog posts on various "formulas" people have put together in what works for them eg http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2012/01/what-i-wear-cold-weather-running.html?m=1

Happy running!

Anon 11:27 here -
Thanks for the advice, I will try the brushed WUs (I have a define in that and could see how that might work much better) and better layering. I actually ordered the Clear as Mud pants when I got back from my weird run today (before even taking a shower), so maybe those will help too. Its just so odd that I thought a jacket was the way to go when it's everything else that is cold. I may need to look into a summer windbreaker to wear when it gets really cold though. Hoping as I get in better shape maybe I won't get hot so quickly (just finished couch to 5k and going onto 10k after a back injury last winter). I forgot to mention in earlier post that I had a fleece hat on that quickly got removed but then my ears were cold, so think I may try an ear warmer thing (fleece, not the big knit one that just came out) and my light gloves seemed to work. Arm warmers next on my list to obtain - maybe I'll try wearing the leg warmers I already own on my arms tomorrow, that will be a sight!

I've always been a pilates/yoga/climber girl and run inside, but really want to try running outside this winter so appreciate the ideas, thanks!

I purchased the fossil vinyasa from the spring collection earlier this year and it was definitely luon light material instead of the regular rulu like my other scarves. It was exactly the same material as my fossil crb. Was so disappointed... The website description had it described as rulu... This is false advertisement lululemon!

Great resource!!! I live in DC and this is perfect for changing conditions. I never know what to wear. Thanks!!

@Anon 3:14 -- Never thought about using the brushed WUs for outdoor running.... do you change sizing for more compression? Do they pill? Ive always used luon for yoga, and luxtreme and swiftly for running, so this is interesting for me....

I didn't look at the tag but I did return the Ras Glo Vinyasa scarf because it felt JUST like the Pow Pink Tank I got this summer and it was no where near as soft and comfy as my pow purple vinyasa scarf BUT upon my return I felt the yellow clarity scarf and that one felt much better than ras glo light... It was soft and cozy... I just didn't like the color on me.

I tried on the Swiftly tneck yesterday - the fit was just okay. It tends to bunch up near the top (you can see this a bit in the picture). The result is that it looks like you're swimming in fabric. Def like the long sleeve version better - but it's nice to have options.

Someone asked about the fit - I didn't have trouble getting it on but the neck portion is def fitted and snug.
