Upload!!!

It was an expensive night for me. I ordered the Make A Move pant in the Black/Alberta Lake. Rulu running pants are a bit of an indulgence for me since I only ski once a year and it doesn't get cold enough here to use them for running. I plan to use them to watch my son's late fall/spring season soccer games when it can get rather chilly sitting on the sidelines.

I also ordered a pair of the Split Set pants in black. The pants remind me of my Energize pant and I like the narrow but slightly wider leg. I hope the luon is nice and thick in these and the waistband doesn't hit me as low as on the model. I would have considered ordering the Black Swan but the luon in my BS Gather and Crows is on the thin side. I only have one pair of narrow legged full-length pants - everything else I own is Stills, Grooves, Extends, or Yoga pants. I should get them Thursday afternoon.

What did you all get?

I got the Alberta Lake Studio pants... so excited about that color. :)

I really wanted a new scuba hoodie but am worried about the new length. I loved them a little longer! :(

I got the Split Set in Black Swan and Alberta - if I like, I'll probably only keep one. I've been itching for a new Scuba so I got the Tender Violet. I know it's a different fit so we'll see how it goes. Scubas aren't sold in L.A. so I have to snatch 'em up online while they last.

Nothing for me in this upload. Was hoping for new colors for the Top Speed tank. Since LLL is moving to fall/winter clothes, nothing suits for where I live (tropical weather all year)

Hope the November colors will have it in tanks and crops.

Just Alberta Lake speeds for me... very boring upload!
Did love the Raspberry colored Scuba but bummed its in the crappy new design :(

still no half micro macro stripe polar cream heathered silver slate/coal gloves on the US side :(

that said, I really like the alberta lake studio pants and the black swan ones from an earlier upload, but at 118, I just can't seem to pull the trigger...nothing else tempting for me.

Yay! I ordered the Alberta Lake speeds which FINALLY came out!!! :)) I tried on the new raspberry glo swiftly at my store yesterday and it's just beautiful (had to wait though because I bought the Alberta Lake Define!!)

Nothin. Which is good since I got THREE items in the mail last week. I wanted to love the Groovy Run shorts, but something about them didn't quite work, so I have to return the pair I got 2 uploads ago.

Nothing. Very disappointing upload. Where are all the hoodies and pullovers and Turn Arounds (or something similar?) I think there are like 10 rain jackets out ... c'mon! And the new Scubas look terrible ... glad I didn't get into those or I'd be severely disappointed! Wish they'd make a FTB tank in Alberta Lake. It's my new fave tank (I have TV).

Nothing for me either. Terrible upload with bad designs and limited choices. The Black Define Jacket in Rose Herringbone was classically beautiful , but the Teal version looks like scraps of fabrics pieced together in some type of hideous patchwork fashion. Where are the CRB's, WU's, more colors in Speed Shorts, Pacesetter Skirts, & Power Y's, Stride/In Stride Jackets, the OLD Scuba Hoodie--that was already too short, so why make a "new" even shorter version? Most of their "new" designs end up on the WMTM quickly. So much for selling everything at "full price" as CEO Christine Day likes to brag (or is it lie) about to media & investors. Those days are over.

I went for the Alberta lake speeds... Bought the Alberta glen check groovy's But don't love them sous love to send them back. If I printed off the the return form a few days back, does the deadline for returns depend on when you print the sheet or when you get the item/purchase it? I printed it off within the 2 week time frame, bu am afraid if I ship it off by the time it makes it back to BC is will be past the deadline when they get it... Can someone explain this return business to me

Signed- lulu confusion!

Gah, there was more than I had expected. I got the raspberry LS swiftly (LOVE the bubble-gummy-ness), clear as mud pant, alberta lake speed shorts (really dislike everything in I've seen in alberta lake EXCEPT these speed shorts), and the pretty pink ear warmer.

There are two new WAFS prints in the AUS side (red and limitless blue). They also have a raspberry glo light flow y bra and wunder under crops with herringbone/macro stripe waistband.

I am getting the TV Power Y Tank.

I am considering the Run Top Speed Crop in striped Alberta Lake, but am holding back since I thnk it looks too Beetle-juicish!

OT - Has anyone noticed that the recent CRBs are stretchier than usual?

All the CBRs I have ever bought in the past have been size 4. Last week I purchased CRBs in TV and Cashew Striped in my usual size. After testing them out at home I found that the neck and straps to be too saggy, so I exchanged them for size 2... which fits perfectly all over.

Is this another case of the old switcheroo a la Scuba Hoodie?

Another Pathetic upload for men!!! TRULY DISSAPOINTING!!!

When returning an online order, have your original receipt and also printout your tracking info. The two week period begins on the day you receive the items, not the day you purchase. I got into a little argument with a guy at the store over this. It says right on the back of the shipping label.

I got two brushed defines, one black, one TV. I will see which one I keep as I have a used define coming from ebay soon, too.

I had the same issue with the CRBs, had to size down. I am usually between a 4 and a 6 in most other tops but the size 6 CRBs I've tried on recently have been huge. I also really wish they would stop making them so long. I know you can get free hemming but that's kind of a hassle.

Please let us know how those two pants fit. I was tempted by them but want to wait until I can try them on. I also live in Southern California so don't exactly NEED super warm pants but I like the look of the Make A Move pants. I'm not totally feeling the pockets on the back of the Split Set Pants, it makes them look kind of like jeggings in my opinion. I ordered the Denim Define, not sure I'll keep it but wanted to test it out.

Anon 8:05 - I've had the same issue at my store as far as the return dates and I also print off the tracking info that shows when I picked it up (it goes to my PO box) I just don't settle for any other answer ... They eventually give in! :)

Did you notice the new black denim define is $108. The one I got few months ago was $99. Looks like they randomly increased the price like DSPs!! :(

What's the difference between regular and brushed defines? It says brushed version is softer. But is it also more warmer than regular?

Just a heads up on fit and stretchiness - I recently bought a new pair of lined DSPs. It's a little looser in the butt area vs. the unlined, but I expected that. However, after wearing it for ONE day I find it stretches out significantly more than the pair I have from 3-4 years ago. It was very noticeable, because even the lining inside stretches out more as well. I guess this makes the pants comfier, but far less flattering. Since I have ripped the tags off, stupidly assuming it would be the same as my old pair, I have demoted them to quick errands-sort of pants since you can't work out in them and they frankly make me look sloppy and not in a cute way.

So I'd advise people to size DOWN in the latest batch of lined DSPs. Hope this helps.

On the Canada side we got the Flyaway Tamer Headband and Swiftly Headband in Raspberry Glo. I hope it comes in a Slipless next week!

Not loving all of the colorblocking. Seems to cut off the body in an unflattering way.

An expensive night for me too. Split set pants in black swan, swiftly SS in raspberry glo/bs, and make a move pants in black/AL.

I like their winter stuff so much more than summer items.

I honestly can NOT tell the difference between the brushed and reg define, the brushed define I got was the black rose her define... It's NOT softer, and its definitely NOT thicker. I think both defines, brushed and regular, keep me just as warm.

The Run For Your Life crops look great but the last thing I need is another pair of great crops. I have quite enough. Maybe only and definitely await migration to wmtm for sure. Otherwise not impressed with any of the new stuff. Pants look dumpy. Make It Rain Jacket - gross. I see they now have a separate item for the awful Scuba Stretch that they want $108 pre-tax for. haha hilarious.

LuluAddict said...

@ Sandra - the brushed rose herringbone defines don't feel that different than a normal define compared to the solid colored ones. Try on the Tender Violet Define. That one definitely has a different feel than a non-brushed one.

I will check it out tommorow, thanks LLA!

Does anyone know why they made the inseam so long for the Split Set pant?

nothing for me from the last three uploads!!!! Hoping november is better with its colors!

The new scubas are pretty terrible. I won't buy one. Thank goodness I have three old ones, the quality has gone down substantially. I also tried on a scuba in the store that had the stretch panel on the side hoping to snag one last one before the new and "improved" versions are all that come out. The old scubas have the stretch along the arms too. I never realized this but in the store the scuba I tried on was so loose in the arms that even though it fit on the body I didn't buy it. When I looked at my old scubas-still awesome-I realized why. I have no idea why they changed these and there is NO way I'll pay 108.00 for the new crap. I find that LULU quality is hit or miss these days. :(

I think the Scubas have been on the decline all year. I bought the Caspian and the Portapottie ones bc I loved the colors so much, but now that the weather is getting colder I find myself reaching for any scuba EXCEPT for those 2 -- they are just thinner, less structured, not as warm and substantial as the old ones, which basically double as a winter coat for me (for dog walking, etc.) I think the initial scuba change started with those releases, and has just been going downhill ever since.

On that note -- has anyone heard anything about release of Cuddle Ups? Those are my absolute fave, and I'm wondering if they will follow the new "Stretch" model too? If so, I really am glad I cleared out the WMTM Cuddle Up section last year, even if they are sparkle.
