Coco Pique Wunder Unders and More

The new Coco pique Wunder Unders and black and gray striped Power Y.

The new Strike Tight in Limitless/Clarity.

New Clarity Wee Space print in the Top Speed Crops. This is from an Australian store.

The new Laceoflage Back on Track Tank.

 The Limitless Blue Cool Racerback.

 Limitless Blue and Astro Pants.

The new Wunder Under Pant colors/textures.

Did anyone do any Black Friday shopping at lulu this moring or last night? I went to one of my stores last night. I'm a night owl anyway so heading out for a midnight sale wasn't too too big a deal for me. I couldn't stand not knowing if there were some great deals but the markdowns were all the first cut and what has been on the racks and in WMTM all week. I mostly stuck to the tanks rack and I saw $39 Swiftly Tanks, Trinity Bras, Pow In Stride Jacket for $89, Split Pea CRBs for $29, a random 105F Singlet in Split Pea for $44, Top Speed Tanks, Calm SS tees for $39. I ended up leaving with nothing. I was tempted to get a Creamsicle Swiftly Tank but I think I might want one in Beaming Blue if it comes and a $9 markdown wasn't enough to make me get the Creamsicle. Anyone get some great deals? I haven't read about anything spectacular so far.

My local store had some crb, swiftly tanks and tees, no limit tanks, star runner ss, and other various tees for $19, some running shorts in older styles/colors for $29, some crops and swiftly ls for $39, and some pants, in stride jackets, star runner pullover for $49.

I walked away with a couple of swiftly tees for $19 each and a speed short for $29. :P

I went to LLL today only because I had to pick up hemming. I didn't expect anything that great. Just the same as what LLA described, mostly stuff currently available on wmtm. I did see some Defines in light pink, light blue and a bright purple (not a deep purple) - not current colors, I don't think? I was not interested. Also saw some of that older floral stuff from the summer. The store was busy though.

I DID buy stuff though, just not on sale lol. I picked up a Limitless Blue CRB. No problem getting my size. Also, the Hot Cheeks skirt in black. I could have worn my normal size 4 but sized up to 6. Tried it on with the Runder Under and the Toasty Tech Tight just to emulate as if I was wearing my Saucony winter tights. Not a fan of the TT Tight - can't stand the high rise. They are also terribly long (am average height) and I'm not interested even if I can get them hemmed. They're pretty pricey for a winter tight...I'd rather have another pair of my Saucony's, which fit me perfectly (and are fitted, not dumpy), and they have zippers in the bottom.

At home the HC skirt works with my tights. I'll take it for a run around the block tomorrow (tags on, tucked away) to see how it performs...shifting, riding up etc.

Big pass for me on ALL items in WMTM.... Saw one thing I was considering, but even at $49, reviews were bad, so I passed on the item! Wish the dog walking pants were $49!! LOL.... (Dream on, I guess!)

Just a suggestion for the hot cheeks down skirt.... I did buy my usual Lulu skirt size 6 (I'm also a size 6 for speed shorts and size 4 for WU). I also bought the skirt in a size 8 considering it might be more comfortable... but... I did take the size 8 for a run and air was coming between the skirt and my buttocks. I did get cold. I think the skirt needs to hug your bottom. I will take the size 6 for a run this weekend. Will get back to you on that.

The new shopper in purple with the blurred lights - I like how they spell OM.

WOW @ Anon 6:40, you would actually wear it, sweat in it and then take it back? Wonder what will happen to it at the store, will it just get put back on the rack??
I have been in the store, when women come in still sweating from running and try things on. Really disgusting.

Anon 6:40 was talking about hot cheeks skirt... Worn over other pants and just around the BLOCK. I don't find that gross.

The pique WUs look better in the top pictures here, but I still see long johns. Long johns/long underpants I like, mind you, but not long underpants I want to pay $80+ cnd for. Unless they are REALLY comfy. If someone sees them in store, please give us a review!

Has anybody seen the new textured WU pants in person? I was curious about the feel, gusset, etc.
Thanks:)

Really bummed- my store (burlingame, california) had nothing great on sale. I went wed and they had a sale rack then- same rack out today!! Nothing at all I wanted!

@anon 8:44 it is gross but at the same time..this is why you should always wash newly purchased clothes before wearing them. Haha

At which location was the star runner pullover located at? I really wanted one very badly but could not pay regular price for something that easily pulls in the back. I instead walked away with 6 pairs of crops, 5 of them wu's including two reversibles for $34, one studio crop for $49, one red denim pant for $49, two XL racers for $29 and a right round tank for $24 but I would have traded them all for the star runner!

My local store had some colours of the Inspire Crop on for $34. The 3X a Lady jacket was also marked down to $109. Too bad that jacket is fugly as hell because from $368 that is a great markdown! They also had a currant Trinity bra in my size for $24 but since it didn't look very supportive I didn't bother trying it on.

@8:44 PM learn how to read and comprehend. 6:40 stated around the block, which literally means for just a few minutes. You should do this so not to be stuck with the wrong size or an item that has problems. I will wear a new shirt, tank or new crops around the house and do some yoga moves - tags on - before I commit to keeping them. This has changed my mind more than once on an item that I took back.

OK, no offense, but why would you try on clothes after a sweaty workout?! Yucky....on so many levels. Now I will have to shower, after I try on clothes at Lulu! GROSS!!! I am a clean freek and hearing that people do this, just grosses me out! :(

Anonymous said...

@anon 8:44- I would normally agree, but in this case worn OVER tights and just for a quick spin is acceptable given Lulu's ridiculous no-returns policy. There have been several times I wished I could return something because it didn't perform well for me, but I was stuck with it because well...you own it no matter what. It sucks. So I do get it.

Also, LLA- did you say that you were going to post a review of Elisabetta Rogiani clothes? I am interested in picking up a few things, but I don't know anyone who wears it and am hoping for advice on sizing..and importantly, whether the leggings fabric offers good coverage.
Thanks! :)

I was a Loft girl in college and they basically forced us to wear the new lines while working, so we'd wear those polyester shirts for six hours and then put them back, pit sweat marks and all.

the store in burlington mall in massachusetts had incredible deals ($19 and $9) and i heard they still have a lot right now

Anonymous said...

Agreed. So gross. Nice to know the pricey "new" stuff I bought may have been tested on someone's run around the block. Also why you gotta wear undies at least on the first time out. Yuck.

LuluAddict said...

I haven't tried any Rogiani clothes yet. I am working on a Kira Grace review.

Regarding the WU in herringbone pique etc. they were soft but when I showed my bf he said they looked like long johns....i put them back.

I wore my Hot Cheeks skirt today on a run. It's about 45 degrees here in Seattle today, tho, so I can't say it got a huge test. I run a New Year's Day half marathon every year and it's often below freezing and I'm hoping this will keep the lower blood flow areas warmer. It didn't slide around or ride up, which was what I was afraid of. So far, so good. I like the pockets as well. I got it in lack for normal wear and in red for Jingle Bell and Valentine's runs. I wore a size 6, my normal size in bottoms in LLL.

RE: I will wear a new shirt, tank or new crops around the house and do some yoga moves - tags on - before I commit to keeping them.

I totally agree.

In fact, the educators at my local store have encouraged it when I have been torn between sizes or an item. They have said "Go home. Wear it around the house for a few hours and test it out. If you don't like it, return it.".

And I do exactly that.

@LLA- Sorry- got them mixed up. I look forward to your KG review...I'm looking to expand my workout apparel labels! I tried some Sweaty Betty, but it didn't work for me...the clothes are super stylish, but not all the seams are flatlocked and the fit wasn't so great for me. (I'm a muscular Lulu size 4). So...the hunt is on!

Anon 6:40pm Please report back on the performance of the Hot Cheeks Skirt!

Sandra said...

I do the same... I wore my ebb and flow crops for almost two hours in my house just walking and running up the stairs because I was torn... I loved how they made my booty look but they rode up constantly on my calves... I ended up keeping them and mostly wearing them for low intensity work outs since running or cardio in them did not work at all for me.

I also agree that it's ok to try things out before committing. There is one purchase that I'm stuck with (over $100!) and I really wish I had taken it for a "test run" before taking the tags off and really sweating it out in them. LLL has an awful return policy and the lack of price adjustments has really ticked me off. This is all technical wear too, how do we actually know how well they will perform when it gets down to it? Anyways, this expensive purchase has actually really ticked me off with LLL...thus I'm boycotting LLL. I'll definitely keep reading this blog but I'm not purchasing anymore from LLL. There are a few good brands out there that I would rather spend my money on. I'm being a smart consumer from now on. I don't really think LLL is as reliable of a brand as they use to be.

I wasnt impressed with the sale at our store but i did pick up a Star Runner with the zip front for $89 regularly $108 i think. Not to bad!

I tried a bunch of stuff on and none of it hit my button. Only grabbed a couple older Power Y tanks.

@BitterSweet they had some in pretty pink at the Palo Alto store.

Tested the Hot Cheeks today. Didn't like it. Bought a size up from my usual short size since it is a layer piece and I wanted it longer to keep more of me warm. Snug fit on waist/hips but found the nylon portion rode up and folded over the stretchy waist band. Not sure if that means it is a size issue or design fault.

The skirt didn't keep my cheeks warm. It keeps the upper area of the bum warm but not the whole cheeks. A smaller size would have been snugger and let in less air but that still wouldn't solve the fact that it does not wrap around the bum.

However, the skirt would definitely help in windy conditions.

I recommend true to the size of shorts you wear.

OT - I found the Swiftly ss and ls ride up all the way to my waist. It seems to happen when I'm running and wearing crops made of luxtreme and not when I wear Knock-Out shorts which I think are made of luon.
Does this happen to anyone else?
Any solutions?
Do the Swiftlies ride up with Groovy run shorts?

@Anon 8:09

YESSSS!! I JUST walked in the door from another cold weather run where I spent the entire time adjusting my LS swifty from riding up. Today I was wearing my dog runner pants, but last week it was the same deal with my luxtreme tights. So I was wondering the same thing since there is so much swiftly love out there. Do others not experience this? Do people tuck them in or something? I dont get it! LOL.

Sidenote -- today was the first day I got to test out my Toasty Tech in freezing weather and it was awesome -- I was actually TOO toasty in the pullover + LS swiftly. Wish they came out in more colors!

Swiftlys do ride up on luxtreme bottoms but so does every other top I wear with them. That is why they added those silcone dots to help keep things down. I notice my looser-fitting swiftlys don't ride up as much so you might want to consider sizing up. I like the Swiftys because they are so breathable, soft, and seamless. I find them the coolest top to wear for hot summer runs.
