Is that a new green on the forme pant!?!?!?

I noticed the Polar Cream Brushed Define has been pulled. Definitely not sold out because all sizes were available and then they disappeared yesterday. Still not there today.

And the new Vinyasa scarfs (RG & CY) are Luon light not Rulu

The woman in the pink bra and blue WU's, goodness the fit of that bra is terrible. I acknowledge she is muscular, but the fit is too small and just wrong! Not much better in the clarity sitwi tank either.

@anon 6:20 I don't think it's a new color. I saw that photo on facebook, that set of pics is shown wearing the tender violet denim forme pant. I think the picture that looks green has a photo effect on it...

Would love to see some nice pullovers, tried on the Please Me pullover today...beautiful color, nicely finished, just cropped about 6" too high. And, oh yeah, fishy smell like that sketchy batch of clam diggers last summer.

Also found the U-Turn Pullover really uncomfortable due to the (excessive) scratchy seams as you mentioned in a previous post...I didn't like the reverse colours, and I think the back pocket was not accessible from the reverse side on the black swan/raspberry color (I forgot to take another look at that after I took it off, but it didn't look like there was an opening to the pocket from the raspberry side).

Man Lulu does not have their Ssshhh together..
I just grabbed the Sincity Tee for half off at the Outlet today. Not that I'm complainging.. but I'm glad I check the outlet in my town before buying anything online.

I like the new jacket, but will be heart-broken if they discontinue the In Stride. I think it's a huge mistake on their part... we'll see...
Lately the new uploads have not impressed me... It feels like LLL is slipping downhill, and it's slippery..

OMG, A DARK GREEN!!!!!!! So much for my continuing attempts to wean myself from my luludiction.

I'd love to work over in IT or product design over at lulu. If I'm at IT I can be free to post inaccurate content and only update the site when I'm in the mood. Oh and I can take the site offline for hours whenever I want! As a product designer I can design schizophrenic "capsules" that go to WMTM ( for $10 off) and still live another day to design more madness! Oh the fun they must have over at lulu!!!!

I'm ranting because I ordered only 2 things this week - one from Ivivva & one from lulu. Both were not as described. My Ivivva leggings ended up being Rulu and not Luon as described (although that's not a bad thing, would have been nice to know). They're the same price as previous Ivivva Rulus but with unfinished hems this time around - so same money less quality. Oh the joy when the joke is on me. I also ordered a RG Vinyasa scarf when it was still labelled as Rulu, so now I have a return in my near future.

I really think lulu is turning into a shining beacon of mismanagement and mediocrity mixed with a healthy dose of contempt for its customers. Sigh. Rant over. I'll go put on my Cabin LS and remember the good old days.

Tried on the U-turn pullover today in Clarity Yellow, thought it was beautiful BUT - it was quite short, and, I notice on plain coloured rulu (not heathered) that pilling shows up almost instantly. Not good for resale. I was tired of all the heathered stuff but I could def. see the beginning of pilling on the plain colours even while still in the store. I didn't find the seams scratchy at all, but I didn't care for the reverse side so that would be no advantage for me. Skipped it for now. Love, love, love the colour combo of yellow and grey, other wise it would be an easy pass.

i got my limitless blue/Clarity yellow inspire crops today and I can't stand them. Couldn't even stand to try them on. I just hate the yellow so much, and the combination of blue and yellow here is not good, it's very loud. Disappointed..

It is nice to see that they are finally acknowledging that the new Clarity Yellow and Raspberry Glo vinyasa scarves are luon light. I called the GEC to ask when I started reading that they aren't Rulu and the GEC insisted they are Rulu. Too bad I bought them on Tuesday when they were supposed to be Rulu. Looks like they will be going back like all of my other items that were misrepresented on the website.

In the model wearing the All Sport Bra & Spin it to Win it Tanks defense, those items do fit very snuggly. The criss-cross straps always accent the shoulder muscles and tend to make your back look squished. She is sized right, it's just the fit of the items - not to mention the gal is ripped!

Anonymous said...

I personally think...metal zippers on the jackets, make them look CHEAP!!! Easy EASY....pass for me!!! And OMG..the bra on that gal looks too small and too tight! (just looking at the pics online) YIKES! Pass for me!

Ohhh I would LOVE a tech fleece pullover in Raspberry Glow!! I was so mad when the Run: For It pullover came out (I stalked my computer and got one in Currant)- then PP came out a week later!

Are we talking tech fleece or fleece like the DHBH and Post/ Apres Run?

that is NOT GREEN. it's BLACK. it just looks green because the color in the photo is off/it's been instagrammed or something. look at her jacket...she's wearing a BLACK jacket. in the photo of the "green" pants, the jacket is the exact same color as the stripe in the pants, and we already know that the jacket is black, not green.

@Anon 6:46 -
I find that the All Sport Bra fits me like the blond woman - bulges everywhere. This seems to be regardless of sizing, and even when it doesn't FEEL like it's pinching, I get underarm and back fat. Stinks because I think it's a cute bra and I love the colors! I wish they'd release the new colors in the Energy Bra, which fits me much better.

I agree w/ alot everyone has said- since lulu is going BIG quality has slipped- however there is no one stepping in and taking the rains so far anyhow, i went to the lulu show room in my town to get some pants hemmed and asked the gals the reviews on the new scuba and they answered in such a fake contrived manner it made me chuckle- "Oh great everyone loves them yada yada yada" so i threw my two cents in about me not buying them anymore etc. they looked at me like they hated me it was strange? Corporate must be forcing this new design down their throats is my guess? I'm going to icebreaker brand for my hoodies now- they are long and made of wool. thanks for listening :)

Metal zippers are an UPGRADE. The previous stride zippers were a huge problem. Half the time you can't zip or unzip them, and I had even gotten one stuck on me at the store. The new zippers are much better quality, and the shorter length is in response to customer feedback.

Off topic but did anyone see the new color in the Scuba Stretch? It's called Iris Flower...very pretty! Does anyone know if we'll be seeing more of it/ was this a color that is being reintroduced I don't know if it came out earlier!

The Daily Yoga Jacket in BS herringbone (think that's the color shown?) is very nice in person. No issue with the zipper, it looks great. Like the simplicity and exception quality (of the herringbone one anyway). However, size 4 was too big on me. Didn't try a 2 as they were all sold out. I'm a 4 or 6 in in most jackets but I wear a 2 or 4 in a Scuba (and am a 2 in a CRB).

I have a question for you guys. This has been bugging me: How come everyone seems to like the colored WU pants/crops and colored Luxtreme? I am a lean, muscular size 4, but I do have a little bit of cellulite, and you can totally see the lumps and bumps on my backside through the colored Luon and Luxtreme. Am I the only one? I feel like I seem to be the only woman at crossfit not wearing colors, and you guys are always excited for color...?

I just bought one of the new vinyasa II with ribbon snaps. thought it was rulu, now reading it's luon light (boo!). it's 92 percent nylon, 8 percent lycra- would anyone be able to tell me which it is? Thanks!

Okay, okay, sophia, I was a little excited because I thought it was green and at first glance it certainly looks green. Yes, a closer look reveals the colour is off, but it's not like you can go back and edit posts here after you send them off into the ether. No need to jump all over me like I'm an idiot, thank you.

I bought the limitless space whatever crops and because I love the color and length I just ripped the tags off and wore them to train in today. They are not low rise, and they are not high rise, they are a tight mid rise that gave me a muffin top that I don't have in other crops! And since I'm in between sizes I sized up, so the compression on the legs is not as tight, unfortunately, but the waistband sure is...again, unfortunately!

Anyway, since the tags are still on my dresser I may just ebay them. since I've only worn them once I may get most of my money back.

On a positive note, limitless blue goes with so many colors! One of my purple/berry colored pullovers looked way cute with them!

Bummer about the Clarity scarf not being Rulu. :( Not something I'll be able to return, unfortunately...once it gets here, that is. I've heard other bloggers on other sites commenting on how much softer the Clarity was than the Raspberry Glo though, so I'm hoping that if it's not Rulu, that it's at least soft. What's up with the product misnomers? Seriously, they need to get their sh*t together. If it's not Rulu, then don't label it that way. People would probably still buy it, but they don't appreciate paying for something that is incorrectly described. We spend enough money on these freaking things, they should at least grant us the courtesy of correctly telling us what we're buying. Is this a better business bureau issue? Can a company really get away with selling items under false pretenses?

I like the look of the Daily Yoga Jacket, but I don't $128 (plus tax) like it. That's way too much money for something so simple and plain and devoid of features. I actually thought the omega on the Stride/InStride was very flattering, and it provided an interesting pop of color. I don't necessarily think that it "screamed" Lulu, but it was distinctive and I liked that about it. This new jacket is a bit of a yawner. I'm a fan of the SFT jackets, so the metal zipper doesn't bother me (and to be honest, those plastic double zippers are so freaking annoying), and I think it looks really classy with the herringbone print. But no thumbholes? Come on! That's why we buy long-sleeved Lulu! I would definitely consider the jacket if it was priced under $100, but I think the days of Lulu jackets being priced under $100 are long gone. :(

I got my ras glo vinyasa delivered to me at 8 am and returned it at 10 am that morning because it just felt like a cool racerback tank... Nothing like the rulu scarf I own. I really wish they had rulu scarfs other than the piqué grey or what ever it is... Because they really keep me cozy in this Washington weather. I now prefer them 1000% to regular scarfs, even cashmere scarfs :)

Anonymous said...

@ 5:26 PM, it's 3:53. I'm with you on the price, I decline to pay $128 + tax. I was only trying it on should I need to know for future reference. If it went to MD or WMTM, which I doubt will happen. Yet you never know. I don't need it and I won't be after it. But should it happen, maybe. $100 also too much. I do like the simplicity and it's nicely done in the herringbone. Thumbholes are not a deal breaker and still wouldn't support a $128 price tag. Never have been a fan of the Stride/In Stride.

Sandra...

Well... I'll stick with cashmere ! So musch more soft and warm ! Quality.... unlike Lulu these days. :( I also wished the Vinyasa in Raspberry was Rulu... Oh well... more $ for other designer items. :)

HPSauce said...

What?! Why on earth would they do that!! I'm so disappointed now that I never got the Vinyasa and held out for a new color! :( Rulu is amazingly soft!!!!

I saw the herringbone jacket today and it looked plain. The fabric was also not nearly as soft as last year's herringbone jackets (which I own), and the blingy metal zipper made me not even want to try it on. I wouldn't buy it for that price, anyway (though I did pay more than that for my beautiful coal herringbone Stride on eBay & don't regret it).

@anonymous me - i wasn't specifically jumping all over you, or trying to call you an idiot (geez). another poster commented that they thought it was also green, AND another poster had already commented that those pants are not green, but a filter on the photograph. since it seems that sometimes people just comment without first reading the posts that came before (not that i blame people as they have busy lives and, after all, this is a blog about fitness clothing, but it does get a bit silly when you see "omg GREEN" 50 thousand times when someone has already said "it's not green"), i was simply trying to head-off the super excitment for a new green that might ensue. i used capitals to do this because when you're quickly scrolling through posts sometimes you notice the things in all caps when nothing else stands out. so it was a small attempt to hopefully prevent some disappointment from many when they find out there is not a new green, as well as self-serving in hoping not to have to read "GREEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!" comments 50 thousand times when there isn't, in fact, green.

so no, it was not all about you.

Instead of complaining or ranting about the poor quality and the bad designs...Im just NOT BUYING! I haven't purchased in well over a month. I can't be bothered to support a company that doesn't make proper changes to please its customers. Rant over! LOL Bhahahha! :)

LOL! I normally would agree but I'm almost 6 months prego and I tend to over heat in my regular winter scarves but the Rulu has been great for keeping me warm and NOT hot, otherwise I would totally rock my winter scarfs :)
I also noticed that being prego has made SO much more picky about what materials I will wear...ahhhh the beauty of being pregnant! ;)

The clarity scarf IS much softer than the rasberry glo, it actually kind of feels like rulu so I think you will be okay.

Sometimes the tone of one's email can be misinterpreted. But in this case, I'm with "anaonymous me" on this one.

sophia said...

@csc - you can "be" with whomever you wish - i'm not asking anyone to take sides. i was simply responding to the fact that she felt like i was somehow targeting her, and that was not the case at all. this isn't something to dispute - it's a brute fact. since i wrote the post, i know what i meant by it. and it was not my intent to make her "feel like an idiot" - in fact, it wasn't my intent to respond to her specifically at all.

Is it just me of do the new inpire crops have thinner luxtreme than the old ones. I tried on the limitless blue/clarity yellow ones yesterday and wanted to get them, they felt thinner than the older ones I have in river rock and lolo purple.

Emmy said...

Am I the only one who feels that the luxtreme in the inspire crops out now feels thinner than the luxtreme from crops made about 2 yrs ago. I'm comparing to some river rock and lolo purple ones that I have from a while back to the new raspberry glo light ones. Not the same imo but still the same price... :/

I'd love to just let this rest and not comment further because it's slightly off topic, but the reality is that we are here because we are interested in new lulu items and when we see something we like, we say so. If you like green and see something you think is green at first....excitement ensues.

Since the comments are moderated now and appear in a group instead of one by one to respond to, I made my IT'S GREEN post before any other posts were visible on the site. So, I was not privy to either anyone else noting it was or wasn't really green. And you can't edit, or I'd have removed it once I realised the filter issue.

Another thing about comments appearing in bulk is that sometimes you do see the same comment several times. It doesn't mean people haven't read. It usually means they haven't seen the other comments....because they weren't visible yet.

All caps means 2 things 1. excitement and 2. yelling. Well, technically both are yelling, but one is in a happy mood and the other is often patronising.

So okay, it's not green. We've got that covered. No problem. I like black and bought a black runder under top and the super soft black/tender violet make a move pants today, so I'm going to go be happy about that and get on with my evening.
