NEW! Forme Jacket (Define Replacement)

The Define replacement is here. This is the new Forme Jacket. This doesn't look that bad but I really dislike the color blocking. I can't wait to see this in a solid version. It also comes in black, reversible slub denim limitless blue/black, and herringbone black swan/black. As soon as some educator photos show up I will post.

Beam me up, Scotty.

Since I cannot wear a Define, I'm liking the more relaxed look of this jacket but like you, I am hoping the other colors look better, especially the blue and black swan!! Thanks for the update :)

LOL, right!

How much is it? Anyone else from Calgary not getting store product notification emails this week? Thanks :)

UK and europe site have just launched

Hmm, I have to see this in better colors. Like honestly it could end up looking awesome, but I love the define! Why can't they make both jackets? Can they not co-exist in the same Lulu world?

OT-The country tab is looking totally different.

so its exactly like the define... but with ugly color blocking? love the star trek comment, I was thinking the same!

Anonymous said...

Agree the shape looks good...the color blocking has to be the worst yet!

Looks a lot looser through the arms. I imagine some people will like this, but I prefer the slim arms of the define.

Anyone else getting store emails from Australia? They have all the SeaWheeze stuff in them. Anyone know why we are getting them if we didn't sign up for them?

no store notifications in atlanta, ga either

lol! a few colour blocked pieces are ok but what is with every new product?? i actually don't mind it on some pieces, choice is ok. is there one solid coloured piece of clothing??

why why why will ll not listen to the number of requests to make the pants shorter. i want the tall girls to have the choice of pants as well but what is the huge deal with making a short/long version?

i am not near a store and lose the option for hemming. i would have considered the dog walker pants but they will be way way way too long on me.

oh well, changes that no one wants are ok but changes customers actually request are ignored!

i prefer mec for my technical winter pieces and they do offer petite options. i just ended up with my big winter order and i am in love with the pants i bought!

color blocking is hideous

I'd prefer not to be the red shirt.

Anyone else having problems with the checkout page not loading at the moment?

Hmm, I don't actually hate the shape of the jacket. I like the length of it and the shape of the front. If they got rid of the awful colour blocking this would actually be really cute!

Seattlite said...

The length of this looks promising for this girl. Being 5'8 just makes the define look silly on me. I actually like the color blocking for an outdoor jacket, but not for one that you would keep on indoors.. We'll see what they do with the coloring on this guy... hmmm..

macfrannie said...

Also 5'8" but I don't have problems with the define wrt length. I think, like someone said previously on another post, it might be more of a body shape thing vs. a height thing. The forme looks interesting, not in love with the color blocking though.

OT- I don't know if anyone knows the answer to this question, but worth a shot. Any idea if we will be seeing a run of Wunder Grooves or the new Ebb & Flows before Christmas time? I am desperate for some new yoga crops but don't like the current options!

Anyone having trouble at checkout or calling in -- no answer on the line and the checkout page won't load -- i guess when they changed to international they screwed up the site AGAIN!

I'm also having problems with the checkout not loading :-(

Using the US store; I can't check out either.

Let's hope they've gotten the color blocking out of their systems. I really liked the RG/BS First Base tank, but grey in the back? At least stick to two colors. The define is a little too fitted for me, so perhaps this will fit a little more relaxed. But please make it in a solid color.

This is one of the ugliest lulu items i have ever seen. I don't mind colorblocking if it's done right. This combo will definitely turn heads haha.

@anon 5:21. Yes! I thought it was beachside I was so vocal about the SW gear. Maybe they're sending things with SW in them to anyone on the SW list? Glad I'm not the only one.

This is a response to Unknown about Clear as Mud pants from a few posts back:
Anon 2:23 here, yes, sizing up in the CAM pants helped me with the waist a lot. Unfortunately, I didn't run in them (because of the seam, they're going back) but they seemed to fit well and since they have the drawstring, I would have gone with a size up if I was keeping them. For reference, I am normally a 4-6 in WUs, 6 in Bright at Night and compression crops and studio pants, 4 in still pants/shorts, 6 tall in grooves. I had one pair of brushed leggings last year (with the snowflake pattern at ankle) that I went up to an 8 in and they do not have a drawstring but stay up perfectly well on me. I also have a pair of denim insight pants in 8. I'm 5'8" 130 lbs and a waist like a 12-yo boy with go-go gadget legs. Reviews on Lulu site are mixed for TTS versus size up for CAM. Hope this helps!

Try on info: Tried the barre pulse pant last night and really loved. They were comfy, flattering, & I didn't find the waist too high, rather it was perfect for preventing MT (I'm short waisted w/ long legs). The denim was softer/stretchier than all-denim pants. Did not buy, but think I may. Picked up the love red groovy run shorts, they were really cute in person, & are 2-way stretch, which I prefer. Tried the pleasing pant, and while comfy, definitely suitable (for me anyway) as "wear around the house" pants b/c so casual and rather sloppy looking. Also seemed to run a touch big, but prob not enough to size down (I'm a steady Lulu 6, 4/27 in real life). Also tried the split set, and liked them as well, but not exciting enough for me to add another pair of basic looking lulu pants.

What the hell is up with Lulu's checkout at the moment?

The check out is not working and hasn't been for hours now.

Just fyi, the dog runner pants do have the cinch feature at the bottom, which at 5'4, i love on pants!
I love the look of the Define but I simply cannot wear them - i have muscular arms so if I choose and 8 for torso, the arms are wayyy too tight! and if I choose the 10, then the body is too loose and the scalloped hem flares out, emphasizing my hips. So, I'm looking forward to the more relaxed fit of the Forme.
and I consistently run in my lulu stuff in the winter - i'm a layering girl anyway, but those Outward bound pants keep me super warm!! I'm hoping the Ice Queen ones will be just as good :)And If i wear a rulu long sleeve under my Turn something jacket from last year, i almost always get too warm! I've never run below 16 degrees, but they kept me warm when running a half marathon in such temperatures!

Because I was so vocal. Dang spell check.

I'm not a fan of the seam across the arm underneath the elbow.

LuluAddict said...

Define jackets have a decorative seam across the arm in a similar spot - usually one of the places to look for wear since the threads start popping up - but I believe it's purely decorative and not a mating of two pieces of fabric.

Wore my IQ pants in the one size up around the house today and noticed that they just felt like they were falling a bit - so i exchanged them for my true size. Tried on the Toasty Tech and was sorely disappointed -nothing special at all! Also retried the Dog Runner pants and sadly, had to pass - I have thick thighs so the shell of the pants would lay better (like in the site photos) but then the waist would be WAY too big, even with the drawstring :( And I also noticed that the outer shell was clinging to the rulu tight from static - which would drive me nuts!
Still no Clear As Mud pants in my store but I did try on the Barre pants and was surprised at how much I like them. Like the other person stated, they were really comfy, in my regular size, and the high waistband was VERY comfy! And they did not make my butt look bad! Couldn't justify them today but might very soon!

@ 5:40 AM, agree with you and many on the length of pants, why can't they offer different inseams? The average woman is 5'4" so when they make pants made to fit really tall women, that is not your average woman! And no offense to those that are tall. If LLL really would put their money where their mouth is (ahem they won't), they would offer different inseams (like Banana Republic, Gap), and they would also see how much of each REALLY sells, how much to generally manufacture etc.

On product notifications, I'm in the Toronto area, I am signed up for 3 stores and recently, each store has not always sent something every week. In the past they did, like clockwork. This week only one store sent an e-mail titled "Brrr". I guess that's someone's job at the store? I don't really care, since most of it is ugly colour blocking or pants/leggings not good enough for true winter. Off to MEC I go.

And yes, where are the Ebb & Flow ii's?

Just got a peek at the new forme jacket in black swan herringbone at fashion island. It's BEAUTIFUL! Very different feel from the black swan herringbone daily yoga... More "sporty" looking! Might be the owner of both soon! :)

Unknown said...

OH!!!! did you get a picture??

Mksaka said...

Unfortunately I didn't have the opportunity to get a photo. The jacket was brought out by an educator per my request... And he said it wasn't hitting the shelves for a few hours! Im not loving the limitless blue/love red forme jackets.... But the black swan one was really cool to me.
