WTH. Weird.

Lulu has saved me a lot of money lately putting out all this garbage. Such a shame!

They just had skirted pants like this on ivivva, and after two weeks they have already gone to loot. They are very odd-looking and not flattering at all. :(

ugh weird. I like some of Athleta's skirted leggings (they have a new one that I just ordered, the Placid 2 in 1 which I love in the black/purple combination.. and the Brahma leggings.. but I really don't like skirted capris for some reason. Skorts or Skirted Leggings, fine. skirted capris, naw. i found the Athleta Brahma way more flattering than the Lulu My Mantra pants, much more forgiving of imperfect body parts.

and totally agree on the .?! part about covering your rear and letting your "Crotchatorial region" show! Haha!

Now I have to find a way to use "crotchatorial region" in a sentence. The crops are fugly, but crotchatorial is way too good a word to pass up adding to the vocabulary closet.

"Crotchatorial!" LMFAO!! Totally agree. It makes me think of a mullet.

What about all the triangle gusset induced camel toes? Don't they need coverage, too?

Im just NOT tempted by anything Lulu lately--at least not for me! going on 8 weeks of not liking anything!! :( And I'll pass on $80 leg warmers, when I found gorgeous ones at half the price! (handmade in Canada too)

It's not for me. Definitely think the front is odd. Imo the skirt part would be a nuisance for yoga practice. However, given the longer back, the modesty angle for the gym, cross fit or spin?

OT - just wanted to share some positive lulu customer service interaction (shocking, i know! lol)! my sister bought the run in the sun pullover from her gym last june (so not directly from lulu). she has really fair skin, so wanted a long-sleeved sun top that was really light to wear on our 3-week hike through the sierra nevadas this summer. the top was awesome at breathing well, and keeping her from getting burned (literally, she's gotten a sunburn through merino wool t-shirts, that's how fair she is). HOWEVER, the top held stink like nobody's business! she has washed this thing a billion times, and we've aired it out for MONTHS at this point - still REEKS of BO. the gym wouldn't take the top back, said she had to go to lulu directly. so we drove up to the walnut st philadelphia store and they returned the top for full price (she paid full price for it, but i know some stores this top went to MD) with no receipt or anything, and no quesitons asked, no hassel. we simply said that she wore this top for a month and it's holding odor. the educator was super nice and said something to the effect of "that's terrible! i'll damage that out for you and give you a store credit". i really expected a HUGE fight considering that we had no receipt, and the shirt was in VERY worn condition. but nope! it was one of the easiest returns ever! while lulu as a whole has terrible customer service, sometimes you find reasonable and very nice educators that are willing to do the right thing. it made my day (:

Maybe this is their answer for all the sheer bottoms they have been putting out. I was in the store last week and one employee was wearing WU and the other was wearing rulu and you could see lumps and cellulite. I couldn't believe it that the material was that thin. The one girl appeared to be very fit too and the other was average size. I have lots of older pants and crops and the luon is so thick. Too bad things are going downhill.

That...is just not a flattering skirted-crop-thing...

Maybe this is how they are getting around the sheerness issues? Argh, Lulu, why not just go back to the quality stuff you used to make?

@ sophia - My Run in the Sun LS that I bought at the Sea Wheeze is the same way. Something with my chemistry + circle mesh makes for extra stinky pits on that top. It washes out fine for me but it's pretty awful sometimes when I sweat a lot. Since I got it at the Sea Wheeze I won't take it back. I've also had that problem with the circle mesh used in my Hills and Energy pullovers, too. I wrote about circle mesh and stink a few years ago and it seems to be a problem some people have. I have a couple new Defines that get a weird odor, too. I think my Power Purple and maybe Pow Pink. Since I never had that problem before I assume they are using a new finished wash for color fastness. It reacts weirdly with my pH. For those I've had to treat the pits with spray and wash and I've also done a vinegar rinse that took the odor out.

After browsing the new offerings, I purchased two pairs of crops/pants off the exchange. I'm not spending money on rediculousness!

It's not just lulu having quality issues and poor customer service. Everything I've touched seems SO cheap and poorly made the last few months. Mexx today suggested I size up in a pair of tights that I bought. Seriously?! I'm a size small according to the package. Bought a medium for a more opaque look and couldn't get them above my knees ( seriously these were toddler sized) and the sales clerk said that was how they were supposed to be and suggested I size up to a large. Laughable.

Crotchatorial made my night though LOL

Mexx is one of the few brands that does correct sizing--no vanity sizing--including their tights.

@LLA And Sophia -- thanks for sharing your circle mesh experience! I noticed today, for the first time ever, that my Toasty Tech totally stinks in the pits, and Im not a person that normally smells anything on my dirty clothes, at least nothing like this. I only wore it for one run and a bit of lounging.... between that and the pilling I noticed around the back zipper I am now reconsidering purchasing another, even though I love the way it feels so much. Anyways, I appreciate the background info -- it was really perplexing me today why this one piece was so stinky!

I don't get it... if the reason we aren't getting the new Ebb and FLows is because it's winter here in North America, WHY are they releasing other crops?? JUST GIVE US THE DAMN EBB AND FLOWS!!!

I bought a Mexx dress size 36 ( small ) at the same time that fits perfectly. I also have a full length down jacket size 36. The tights weren't right.

Who are they targeting with these crops? They are pretty funny looking.
In terms of the materials used for lulu's products I wonder how much control they have in terms of what the manufacturers produce, and how it is produced. Now a days everything is about cost cutting.
