Sorry, the running TOPS are $108?!? They were like $78 last year, weren't they? Sheesh, good thing I have lots of lululemon for my winter running needs as this is getting too pricey for me.

I am liking the look of these new pullovers... I want something a little warmer for snowboarding, and this looks like the collar would be perfect! Too bad I have to spend over two grand on vet bills this month and I'll likely miss out in them... Hopefully they will keep them or the winter and release new colors...

Good point! $108 for a LS is outrageous and those quilted pads on the shoulders and elbows are silly.

And... my wallet is safe for yet another week.

That is my store, and I got the ice queen pant in solid black. I think they did a great job with the pant. The rise is a little higher, no muffin top, good seam placement, flattering on the bum, no dreaded CT, etc. in the way of length, I could not do it if they were even a quarter inch shorter, but I usually get a 34" inseam, so these are probably 33 1/2 ish. I also got the pullover in the polar cream. The fit is great, and the quilted stitch pattern is subtle but pretty. I can't get into love red, it is really orange to me, but if you like the color, the bundle jacket also comes in that and also a clarity yellow/polar cream. There were also new love red/black or gray sleeves swiftlys. I personally didn't like the look of the clarity yellow LS top, but it looked better on the Ed that tried it on. I just struggle with the current pallette (which is a good thing, since I have gone overboard with every pink, purple, orange, black swan, Bordeaux, etc...). I love yellow, but clarity yellow doesn't do anything for me, and I don't like it paired with polar cream. I can't get into love red because I will just wish it was currant the whole time. Alberta and Limitless aren't bad, just don't scream to me. And new run ear warmers and toques/beanies in all of those colors...

Thanks for the store report, Tifferoo. My wallet could use a break so glad I don't need any cold weather run gear.

The only thing that looks interesting is the Ice Queen pant - especially since it comes in a solid color. Two toned pants aren't my favorite. The rest of it I can thankfully pass on.

I really like the 1st base tank. I have it in black/grey stripe.. i think I will get the raspberry/black swam too.

I don't need any pullovers, while I love diamond quilting pattern..I don't like whatever is going on at the neck of that pullover.

I picked up the raspberry vinyasa scarf..it's awesome. It lays so much nicer than my power purple scarf.

There is nothing special about these pullovers; they look like something I could buy off the rack at TJ Maxx. Certainly nothing that makes me want to shell out $108 for one! Come on, Lulu, you can do better than this.

Dear Ms. Q, I think you're shaped like me.. what bra do you run in? Thanks for all the early pics!

Anonymous said...

Completely outrageous prices, especially when you consider the Star Runner long sleeve was $88 and pullover was $108. Seriously ridiculous!

Becca Marks said...

@Tifferoo & Ms. Q - did you store get the raspberry glo define? Dying for that to make it over to the US!

Anonymous said...

OT--but do we know if the US is going to get the pluxtreme Runder Unders in Deep Coal/Creamsicle Pop? I have been waiting and waiting for them!! Thanks :-)

Wendy said...

Thank you Ms. Q, Tifferoo, & LLA for all the inside info! Much appreciated.

I also can't get into love red, clarity yellow, alberta lake. Maybe limitless blue? I haven't tried it yet, nothing has tempted me so far. I'm just waiting to get all these new items in raspberry glo!!! Well, the ice queen pants and the new pullover. That will probably max me out $$-- $108 for a rulu top is waaaaay too high.

I love those rUnder unders! Are they deep coal as love red? I am so happy with my rasp go/Alberta lake rUnder unders (the raspberry color on the shins doesnt shine through when I wear them, but it does if you really stretched the fabric in your hand). I don't "need" another pair, but I might just cave...

How disappointing. Some of the new stuff is cute but I'm really not loving all the colour blocking they've done lately, I'm not in love with the new colour palette and WHY do so many of the new shirts look short/ cut upwards at the sides?

The new pullovers are cute, but they're not nearly as nice as last year's Run: For It or the Alpine Pullover. And $108 is INSANE for that LS shirt. WHat a crazy mark-up in price... I guess these will all be passes for me!

Toasty Tech is a $20 jump from other pullovers. I was also shocked to see $108 for the Ice Queen ( like the name) when you can buy a very similar top in rulu - Runder Under for $88. What gives??? These price increases are putting me off.

I bought the Gust Buster vest for $99 and that was much better value - completely different product than a pullover but for $99 the vest had a full zipper, three zippered pockets, quilting, reflective material and three other types of material (including fleece). LLL needs to get realistic with the pricing. Their big profits come from selling full price. Why not price things fairly then they will sell at full price.

On another note regarding quality, ordered the Pretty Pink Define online recently when there was an upload of just one size and when it arrived it stank like dead fish. I had to drive to the store to return it. The sales girl did not even apologize. Poor customer service and very poor the warehouse is sending out damaged product. I also just noticed a seam is coming undone on my Run with Your Hommies pant. Grrrrr. Glad I bought it on discount but means another trip to the store.

saw and love the new rasberry glo- it is so pretty- may get the crb if it sticks around- didn't get a look at the clarity yellow, i do love yellow- so may order something in it if a style comes in i like. am loving the stet pant- super great- havn't worn them yet they're being hemmed- one women said they stretch out by days end- hope not- got three pairs ;)- I'm still sad about the new scuba changes- tried them on and i don't love so i won't be buying these anymore- so sad :(

@ anon 8:33 am - The tech fleece pullovers have always been more than the running luon ones. I can't remember what last year's went for but I'm sure something like $118 or $128.

RE: Run with Hommies pant coming undone - that is the danger of buying off the We Made Too Much. When things get sent to markdown quickly that's sometimes a hint there was a problem.

Anonymous said...

I was so excited yesterday to see the Runnin with my Homies pants on markdown, when much to my dismay the seam at the crotch was coming undone! I took them to a manager and asked if they were on markdown because they were damaged. In a shocked tone, she said, "we NEVER sell damaged merchandise". I showed her the crops and she took them "to the back"....well, 20 mins later I was still in the store waiting for my friend to finish trying clothes on when I noticed the same pair back on the markdown rack! Unbelievable. Always check your markdowns!!

Looking forward to more first base tanks. I love my black striped one. Perfect for cool SoCal mornings! Can't wait to try on the ice queen pants :)

Off topic, but I knew I did not want to pay 48.00 for a luon light vinyassa scarf that I had ordered thinking it was RULU. Luckily, I called GEC before it had arrived and they just rerouted it back to them through fedex so did not have to pay the return cost and Hassle free

Loving the look of the Run: Toasty Tech, but not the price. Last year, the brushed tech fleece Run for It and Run Distance pullovers were $118. Grrr Lulu, Grrr...Also, not wild about the colors. Black and cream are blah and I can't do an orangy red, though I am sure it will look fab on a lot of people. Hopefully, Lulu will make it in Black Swam or a light pink. Anyone have any idea on the odds of that happening?

I'm also really happy to hear the Run: Ice Queen pant comes in all black. I agree with an earlier comment that the two-toned colors (at least these two) don't do it for me. They would also be really limiting in terms of what to wear with them. Though, a black with grey might be interesting and a nice change from all black.

Crossing my fingers for some other brushed tech fleece designs and colors sooner rather than later.

$128 is absurd for a fleece pullover that will most likely pill after a few washes.

I really wish they would make more indoor gear even during the winter months. I understand Lululemon is a Canadian company but it seems like they are going totally overboard on the overpriced outdoor gear. I really dislike the First Bank Tanks, the piping above the bust looks so cheap in person.

Anon 3:55 Re: Bra question.
Don't laugh, I'm a bra minimalist, I suppose because I can be [they're not going anywhere ;-)]. As a result, I just wear the Free 2 Be Bras, even though its a little bit of a squeeze to fit everything in!! I really hate feeling strapped in by my bras, and prefer as little material as possible.
Becca - sorry, no Raspberry Glo Defines that I saw yet.
Also in store, were a bunch of turtlenecks and swiftlies in these new colors. And Love Red in the Bundle Up Jacket.

BTW....if anyone is looking for older style scubas and define jackets, I've seen a lot pop up on Kijiji and they look fairly new and/or in excellent condition. I've seen older scubas barely worn and the seller asking $50-$60, which in my opinion is a pretty good deal. :)Just thought someone on here might like to know...

I've bought fleece pullovers in the past from Lulu, for $79 and $89!!!! One came out last year and I believe it was $98? Seems the prices keep going up and up and up! I miss my fuzzy fleece pullovers! I had 3 and sold them all. Wish I hadn't! :( BOO!

@LLA - there's a glimpse at new running gear on the lulu blog page...it shows the ice queen stuff as well as a down running skirt!

I saw the Clarity Yellow Ice Queen Running Luon top at the store this weekend and they look used. The brushed fabric is pilling all over the front. They all look like someone had been sleeping in them for months. $108 for a fleece pajama top.

Received my Caspian Blue Scuba It's so pretty and the fit (original) is great but it's the only plain scuba I have and I don't think it'll be as versatile as my other Scubas. However, since the design has changed I'm hesitant about returning it. I have the polar cream CRB and it looks like white when it's has been over-bleached and turns yellow. So that's a return. I'm still wondering why the Polar Cream Brushed Define jacket "disappeared" every size was available and then it was removed and only available on the Hong Kong/Singapore site. Hmmm. I got the CY scarf and it's a very pretty yellow. J Crew and Victoria Secret are also using yellow (citron) in their Fall/Winter line. My Free to Be bra is definitely Alberta Lake/Black rose not Coal/Black.

Anyone know if the red/coal runder unders are reversible and thus double-layered?? I, too, am loving my black/AL/RG ones so much! I am loving the look of that Roasty Toasty fleece and those IQ pants!! Every year I look forward to winter just so I can run in my winter gear!!

Anonymous said...

OT Question - @LLA and other fellow addicts: How do you store and organize your headbands? From reading your blog I know that you have lots so I was just wondering how you organize them at home. I have accumulated quite a few over the past year and they are starting to take over my hair stuff section of my vanity.

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Anonymous said...

Anyone know if the ice queen pants have pockets on the side or are those just seams, thanks!!!

Anonymous said...

I looked at the vinyasa scarf in store and I thought it looked very cheap. It looks like it was cut off a roll of fabric with a scissors. No seams or anything. very turned off. I was going to get one in pink-nevermind.

Anonymous said...

Yes, they are actual pockets with a zip to open them.

Anonymous said...

Yes, they reverse to black. I wouldn't say they are thicker as a result, but certainly not see through and flimsy like some of the Wunder Unders.

Anonymous said...

Do the Ice Queen Pants fit true to size ? No sheerness ? Thanks :)

Anonymous said...

OT: I ordered Groove pants online and they still had the diamond gusset!!! WIN!

Anonymous said...

It just dawned on me that even though the pullovers are more expensive than the tech fleece Run For Its last year -- they are totally missing the hoods that the Run For It (And i think Alpines?) had!!! What exactly does the $128 cover?!

Deezee007 said...

I don't know where Lulu is coming up with these price points. I get that the items are more technical for running/winter, but this is ridiculous.
That Runder Under shirt is a glorified swiftly.

Unknown said...

IQ pants are compressive - I sized up only to have the waist be a bit more comfy but I am concerned that they might fall a little while running so I might go back to my regular size - but NO sheerness whatsoever!
and Deesee007 do you mean the new IQ Top is a glorified swiftly or the Runder Under top? I would disagree if you meant the RU top - that's nothing like a swiftly, imho. But if you meant the IQ top, then I totally agree with ya!
