Photos - Down to the Studio Jacket and More

First photos of the new Down to the Studio Jacket have popped up.

The new Wee Space Beeming Blue Scuba Stretch Hoodie. I think I like this better than the Wee Space Clarity Yellow version.

i liked how it looked from the front on the webpage, but the hood on that jacket is just too absurd from the back. and the price is just insane. yuck.

That jacket looks like what would happen if a witches costume and a duvet decided to have a lovechild.

I can't believe that jacket. And the material wrinkles? Good luck making that look good.

Super sad the Canadian (online and material) stores don't have a Surge Stretch Scuba. I'm LOVING that colour.

That. jacket. looks. HORRID! Good grief, what ARE they smoking over at LLL? I've seen the Beeming blue and it looks darker IRL than what I see on my screen here - it's nice, but I actually like the WAFS clarity yellow version better - both both are pretty cool colors. Would like them in the REGULAR Scuba ;)

Wow, from the initial pic of the down to the studio jacket I never expected the collar to be so big!!!!!!!!! Seems a bit over stated.

That coat is laughable.

Well now we see why there are not many real life pics of that jacket...

I wondered what that hood/flap thing was going to look like in real life....
Answer: Not good;-(

Hi Luluaddict, Some "dirt" you might find interesting from Lulu. I just received 2 product notifications from various Canadian Lulus that the "what the fluff jacket, vest and pullover" were all going to be avail. In these 2 stores. I contacted the GEC and spoke with Samantha, and when asked how much for each item....she said, "she couldn't tell me, because each store has different mark downs!" I explained that I was aware of this, but these are NEW ITEMS. She then told me...."items are uploaded every Tuesday" and REFUSED to answer my questions!! When mentioned, that this was going to be shared with everyone....her ridiculous answers, she paused for a rather long time and then answered, maybe $158?" I ended up ending the call, because for some strange reason she wouldn't answer me and then she told me to call a store and ask them.... ??? I can't BELIEVE we pay big bucks for Lulu and receive "subpar" Cusotmer service! these items are already starting to show up in stores, in Canada and the GEC cannot tell me how much the items are going for??? Im told, "each store will have its mark downs?!" Seriosly, what kind of answers are these? LOL... When speaking to this woman, I felt like I was dealing with someone who had something to hide. Why would someone from the GEC give me such shady answers?!

well even in the website pictures the hood looked way too big in the back. I found it to be a turn-off, although the lululemon website model pulled it off very elegantly from the front.

OMG -- this cracks me up: "Blogger RunItMyWay said...

It's horrific. Who the hell is designing this stuff? It's all so supremely ugly and NOT functional. Where are the basics!? They're messing with everything!!! :( Give me that merino sweater without the ugly back. Give me a pullover that comes lower than my belly button. Don't mess with Scubas and Defines. C'mon, lulu--this is all CRAP!

I think the designers have been drinking their own kool aid and believe they are now designing for the haute couture House of Lululemon. I like that lulu designed some fashion but function should always trump fashion in athletic wear.

LLA - truer words have never been spoken! Yes the WTF section should be renamed House of Lululemon because the trouble always starts with these edgy designs. :)

I was in the store yesterday and bought a bunch of basics. My only "capsule" piece was the Barre pant which is really just an ultra slim version of the grooves. I really don't want haute couture workout wear. I just want great stuff that's pretty, fits well, is functional, and can take a beating (after all it's workout wear). I think LLL has forgotten that.

Talking of fugly designs, you can now get the Run With Rover Pants on WMTM. Go on, you know you want a pair really :D

Bahahahaahaha!! I love that comment about the sleeping bag/blanket spawned coat. That coat looks so crazy ridiculous, I hope I never meet anyone wearing it or I'll laugh my head off at them.

oh my goodness, @RunItMyWay, I burst out laughing while walking down the street reading this.

What LLA said. Function should be favoured over high end fashion round here.
