Going to return my LR scuba tomorrow- so sad they are so short now. I'm size 6, 5'7" and I don't like my jacket to be above the top of my pants. Brr! I wish I had known they were going to change them, I would have stocked up. Sad sad. Can't they make both styles? I'm happy if the shorter girls like the stretch version. My suspicion, however, is that the new style is profit motivated. Sigh.

I think I might eat my previous comment and get the Dog Runner pants - I did really love the comfort and now that I know they have the cinch at the bottom, that nearly seals the deal! I can see living in these on weekends :)

I'm 5'7 and I actually like the stretch scubas better - the older ones were kind of long and shapeless on me. I have a long torso so shorter ones are way more flattering on me. They're nice and fitted and give the illusion of a shorter waist. In terms of fit - I think it's not as much about height as it is body type...

The new sunburst pattern is lovely!

Thanks for the update!

Am I the only one who found the top layer of fabric on the Dog Runner pants static-clingy? Maybe it's just the dry winter air in the east - I loved (LOVED!) the cozy inner liner and really wanted to take home these pants...but the outer fabric just didn't seem to flow. Wish they had used something with slightly more heft - maybe the material from the Studios?

I got a new scuba stretch Alberta Lake in my regular size 4 to try it out. It is too short and snug. I wore it around the house for 15 min and was constantly pulling down the waistband. Will try a size 6 before I give up on them. And I'm short. 5'3", 114 lbs, size 4 old scuba, size 6 defines.

The dog runner pants look interesting, but sloppy on these models. any input on them lla?

I think everyone's major issue with the new scubas (aside from the shortness, I can see that being an issue for some!), isn't so much the changes to it as it is the fact that they seem to have taken away a lot of the value-added features (thickness, length, lined hood, panels) but left the price where it is. I suspect that had they priced it appropriately, say at $88 instead of $108, the feedback would be a lot different. I think a lot of the backlash stems from the feeling that we're getting less product for the money..

And style preference, my favorite jackets are the original scubas and the Back to Class. The latter are very long and cover my hips. I just don't like cold air down the back of my pants:).

@RunItMyWay - I totally agree.

I would actually be interested in a thinner scuba because we don't get winter here and have always love the look of it. But with the price remaining the same, I'll pass.

My friend who is new to lululemon recently bought a stretch scuba. She had no basis of comparison against the old version so she liked it enough to buy it. However be warned - do NOT tumble dry this. Not only did it shrink a little length wise, there was lint ALL over the inside of the hood because the hood is no longer double layered and the fuzzy side is exposed. Hope this is helpful.

I really don't like the contrast front on those power y's, why would they just do that along the front and not the whole strap?? It looks really ugly and accidental instead of intentional and edgy...

These pictures just make me hate the luon light power Y even more. These chicks are in fabulous shape, but I can see every single molecule of fat padding over their abdominal muscles, as well as their belly buttons. If a girl has that little body fat, she should look FLAWLESS in a LLL tank. The luon light is just like "LOOK AT ALL THIS FAT OVER HERE OMG EAT A SALAD ALREADY." It's all mean and judgey.

I have worn power y's religiously as my workout tops for 4 years in large part because they always flattered my small figure. I'm 5'6" and 100 lbs and consider myself in fairly good shape, however the new luon light version of this tank makes me look awful!!! It accentuates all the wrong things!!! I'm really really bummed out because since Lululemon has made this change there have been some amazing colors of power y's I would have loved to purchase. I originally fell in love with lulu because it made me look and feel good at the gym. It's a shame they have changed this product.
