Upload!

Interesting new Down to the Studio Jacket, $298. It doesn't look very practical since it doesn't cover very much in the front.

Merino wool Pitter Patter pullover, $158. Rather dull for the price. I don't like to two-tone look in the back.

The black Herringbone Wunder Unders were tempting. I'd like to try these in the store.

New Daily Yoga in Love Red denim uploaded to the Canadian side.

Nothing for me tonight. Did you order anything?

Blue pleasing pants, thats it. Still keep hoping for the ebb & flow but its not lookng good. Booooooo.

nada for me. the new jacket price is outrageous! WMTM link is not working on the navigation however I was able to find it doing a keyword search.

Black herringbone WUCs for me. I'm tempted by the slope red WUC but I already have the ziggy wee in red and currant crops so I don't think I need more reds.

Was hoping for new colors in the Back Burner tank that was uploaded in the other sites last week.

Nothing caught my eye except the arrow chevron post savasana tote, which I purchased, not too bad for $48!

Coal bang buster (#17 - yes I am addicted;) ). Love red wunder under crop and black swan wunder under pant.

Nothing says your wallet can remain safely tucked away like an upload like tonight's, for me anyway.

Expensive night - got the Herringbone WUC, red stripe WU, and the Runder Under shirt in red. I've been living in my Runder Under pants (first pair) so couldn't pass up a shirt made from the same material. Liked the wool pullover but it's too generic for the price tag.

Anyone else tired of the candy colored stretch scubas? Every week they come out with another color that I'd never wear. Wish Lulu would make more prints in the stretch scuba - love the slate check and the alberta lake rose herringbone.

Oh my! Nothing much interested me except the pacesetter (those are already starting to look funny on my pg belly & there's no 12) and the tame me tank, which I think I'll be able to wear for a while, but I can't decide on a color. Looks like just a coal bang buster again this week,

That studio coat is interesting, but even at half the price I wouldn't buy it! I actually like the look of the pitter patter, but no way I'd pay $158 for it & I can't wear wool (darn allergies).

I'm (not so) patiently awaiting the ebb & flows. Watch, I bet they'll drop next week..... while I'm on a cruise ship!!

Black Swan WU and Love Red Pace Setter Skirt for me. That new Down jacket is kind of ridiculous looking. Mostly from the back. Tempted by the LR WUC but afraid they would be sheer.

Wow. Painfully boring upload. My Lulu disappointment sinks to new depths. First time I can remember not ordering a single thing. Let's hope they have a surprise upload coming up, but honestly, my hopes concerning Lulu have dwindled down to almost nothing.

Tracy said...

Nothing. I don't even set an alarm for the upload anymore. It's not worth interupting sleep. I'm only up because I had to pee (it's the middle of the night here) and I figured I'd take a look. Easy pass on all of it.

The daily yoga and forme jackets are horrible, cheap replacements for the in stride and defines. I own 5 in strides and 5 defines and I will be holding on to them dearly until lulu gets their act back.

Interesting....lots of blues out now- there's been limitless blue, now the new $48 shopper was uploaded in beaming blue which I LOVE!! And the scuba stretch was uploaded in that color in a wee space version which I'm not crazy about as well as surge blue, which has been out in the past. Of course there's no consistency so it's not like you can pair anything together cause its just all these random things in random colors being released....

I LOVE the new scuba color - wafs polar cream beaming blue. But alas, cannot wear the new cropped scuba stretch. Also noticed that close up of that scuba shows no hair tie on the zipper (all the other ones have it). Perhaps the model was having a hair emergency.
Pitter patter pull over seems nice and warm but agree, LLA, the mix of fabric in the back is off putting.
Nothing to get excited about this week....sigh

Don't know if I missed it but is there a color comparison for currant vs love red?

Any reviews for the slope stripe love red WUCs? TIA!

i'm surprised at the price of the merino pullover. I have two of the version from 2 years ago and it was $128 - and had cuffins, a long zipper in the front and a hood. I don't really get the price jump, especially when it has less features!

The Down to the Studio Jacket has a beautiful look and shape, but I agree that it is not practical due to the too open front. I'm in true Canadian winter and that's just not going to work, despite bundling up with a scarf.

As expected, no serious winter running tights/pants. Maybe they're coming along...mernio wool Pitter Patter Pullover. And no Ebb & Flow ii's, that's annoying.

Think the Post Savasana Tote is probably a great idea due to lightness...my bag can get heavy when loaded with yoga gear, even when I keep it light/essentials. Love my Bliss Bag but the bag itself is very heavy and it gets tiresome. I'll have to think about his Post Savasana one. While I agree it's no more than an oversized shopper, hopefully it is well constructed. Although the detachable (use as yoga strap) strap might be uncomfortable.

Down to the Studio Jacket, $298 is ugly.

I really like the PItter Patter pullover's cowl neck - a little different. Not buying it for $158.

Black Herringbone WUCs are cute! I wonder how stretchy they are.

Daily Yoga in Love Red is cute too, but I'm in the US. And it's honestly still too plain for me to purchase at that price.

Bleh, nothing for me this week either. I am bored with Lulu.

Anonymous said...

Do I see camel toe on the model? Black Flip with No Flop tank, first photo...

Also, I noticed that the new scuba hoodie WAFS polar cream/beaming blue has a metal zipper without a hair tie on it, although all of the other scuba hoodies have it. Does that mean they are getting rid of it?

Got the black herringbone WUC and deep coal Venus crops. Not sure if I'll keep the Venus crops though, will have to see how they fit. I'm 5' 11" and these crops look pretty long, which will be good for winter since I hate working out in full length pants. The only other thing I was looking for was the slope stripe raspberry glo CRB which wasn't uploaded. Boo.

Anonymous said...

bummer upload indeed. It's funny, the folded neck pullover (I forget what it's called) is very similar to a pull over I bought from Lulu about 4-5 years ago. I can't remember for sure, but I feel like the pullover might have been around $70-$75. It's so crazy...I know for SURE my "vintage" lulu would have been much higher quality, made in Canada...and what, $40-ish less? I don't know where they are going with these prices. It's a little insane.

I got the red WU crops! Very excited about them and hoping that they aren't thin! Also hoping we get the red denim yoga jacket next week :)

Anonymous said...

Finally got the black swan wunder unders! The black herringbone wuc are tempting because I love the pants I got so much but the material in the pants is pretty warm. I don't think it would be practical to get them for wearing in the warmer weather.

Nada. When is the hot cheeks skirt coming?!? It said on the blog "in stores and online this week" two weeks ago!!! Also waiting on ebb and flows. And irked that they came out with a love red pacesetter when I really wanted a currant one ): LR is too orange for me. And why is it theyve come out with run gloves and ear bands in every combo EXCEPT tender violet?? I wanted a TV pair of gloves and headband...but NOOO....I really don't understand lulu's thinking

Jen said...

Nothing for me. Bought the FB tank in blue/polar cream last week and I am undecided if I'll keep it.

Jen said...

...though I di see they have a scuba stretch in surge... Would be interested if other items come out in the same color

Anonymous said...

Thanks Lem... just bought the chevron Savasana tote b/c of your post. It looks super cute!

The jacket is the one I saw on the spec sheets - that hood and collar is huge!! And saw some really cute Scuba Stretch collars but I went with the Runder Under LS in Limitless Blue/grey/yellow and the First Base tank in the black and grey stripes - I love the blue and have the matching gaiter and brisk ear warmer :) Very unimpressed with the merino wool pullover - maybe if it came out in colors but it seems WAY overpriced. Ypu can get a nice merino wool sweater for half that price at Banana Republic! And I am so over the color blocking - where is the down skirt and the grass green color?! Love the FB tanks though - perfect for under the serenity sweater. ;)

I've been hopelessly addicted to lulu ever since discovering the grooves nearly eight years ago. This is the first time I've ever felt that not only are there none of the "must have" wrap sweaters or fleecy pullovers that I buy en masse each fall, but everything that appeals to me in the slightest is so average in design and function, and so overpriced, it seems "safe" to wait for it to hit markdown. And I NEVER wait for lulu to hit markdown - for years the schpiel I've given my husband supporting our stock ownership in the company has been, "Everything sells at full price." We'll, I think it's time to sell the stock because I don't see much flying off the shelves at full price these days. So sad.
I also reached a new level of desperation after seeing the (hideous, cheap-looking, ill-fitting, tacky-zippered) Forme in person last weekend - I actually bought a size 14 Record Breaker jacket from iVivva, since it's the next best thing to the Define...until iVivva goes downhill, too.

luluFemom said...

Also, I thought the "special edition" tags were a web glitch that lulu would fix within a few days, but it looks like they're actually trying to keep that around (to dupe lulu newbies into thinking there's somehow something special about every item sold between Halloween and Christmas?) - it's annoying. And deceitful. Last year there were some genuinely fabulous special editions...

I totally had a jacket like that in high school. Pretty sure it was $59.99 from Marshalls--Steve Madden. Yeah if your styles reflect what was hot in 2002 @ Marshalls you've got a problem.

I bought the new yellow speed shorts. I don't love the color blocking as much as if they were a sold color on both sides. But I do think it's kind of cute. I bought these same color blocked speeds in the love red, I'll get a lot of use out of both with their dark bottoms because I do Most of my training in a boxing ring and those mats get dirty. I'll feel less worried about ruining my shorts this way, so It's a genius idea for me. I hope they don't continue this way though, I'm glad I got these pairs but that's about as much color blocking as I can handle!

yogibabe said...

Nothing here too. Already have a herringbone WUC from a couple of years ago (last year?).
However, I love the yellow of Speed Short on the Canadian site, "burning yellow". Looks like a darker version of rubber ducky? Anyhoo, hope to see more of this color, in tanks perhaps?

Anonymous said...

@LULUADDICT (or anyone)
If you go try on the WUC in herringbone let me know how they fit, tts or size up. People have been sizing up for sheerness but I'm thinking (hoping) that won't be a problem with the herringbone.

I REALLY like the clarity yellow run from work backpack that was uploaded to the Australian site ! But it looks a little small for the price, not sure if all my university textbooks would fit in it! But it would be perfect for riding my bike to the gym!

LuluRunner said...

For a Canadian company, it is pretty surprising as to how they fall down on winter running gear (although, I LOVE their warm weather running stuff). I have been hoping for a nice merino base layer but this one is not it. I went over to the Patagonia site and snatched up a much cuter one for $60.

Anonymous said...

Did you see that Australia got the Sea Wheeze gear and the limitless blue space dye NL tank that was recently spotted in partner stores?

Malia C. said...

I bought the Post Savasana bag in the chevron stripe. I love the design and am hoping the nylon material isn't cheapy and will hold up... at that price I'm not getting my hopes up, but it's seriously adorable so I couldn't say no.

I didn't buy anything else, and I'm REALLY disappointed that we've gone ANOTHER week without seeing the Ebb and Flows. I despise all the color blocking that's going on and the jacket styles, colors and prices are ridiculous. I ADORE the fit of the Scuba Stretch but hate that it is CRAZY short. I'm 5'3" and it's too short for me, so I cannot imagine what it would be like on "regular" height ppl;)

I'll wait another week for the Ebb and Flows and then I'm giving up and going to Ebay for them.

Bought the new merino wool sweater and then realized how insane it was to spend that much on a SWEATER that has an ugly back. So I called GEC and canceled. Nothing for me. Stop reinventing, lulu. Do what you do well: your solid pieces we all love so much. Stop making a million pants and things and focus on what you're good at. Soar with your strengths, as the book says. Your strengths are not in color-blocked, over-priced, hideous attire.

LuluAddict said...

@ luluFemom - I think they sent the
"A" design team over to Ivivva to get it launched. I never wait for lulu to hit markdown either. This Christmas collection is awful. Whoever green-lighted it should be canned.

Anonymous said...

So the black swan of the forme pant (and I think the new WUs) is GLITTER even though it does not say so in the description. I am curious to see how people react when they get their WUs in the mail and see that they are not the elegant color you expect, but rather Showbiz Pizza Purple! Yuck!

Anonymous said...

I never wait for Lulu to hit markdown, either. But I REALLY want a pair of black swan lined DSPs, and the fact that all the lined DSPs are at full color and size runs weeks after the release should show Lulu that people aren't going to put up with the ridiculous price increases forever. I just refuse to pay $118 for a pair of casual lounge pants, when I could get a nice pair of jeans or work trousers for the same price or less.

Anonymous said...

The Down to the Studio coat looks like something you would see walking around Aspen with some diamonds dripping down the front. If you want to look older than your stated age then buy this coat.

sophia said...

@lisa - i'm going to assume that the WUC are made from the same batch of fabric as the WUP (a huge assumption, given lulu's history, i know). but FWIW, i have the black swan harringbone WUP and stay TTS, with no sheerness issues. they're warmer than regular luon - slightly fuzzyish and softer/stretchier than regular luon.

Aramina said...

The good thing with the extended holiday period is you can now buy an item and wait for it to hit loot - return and re-buy. Of course they can't even move that horrid puffy jacket (on "sale" at $199 from loot).

Anonymous said...

@ 8:08 Anon
I have the balck herringbone WU. They are TTS, not sheer in the least and amamzingly soft.
I love them. They are very, very warm, though, so I don't think the WUC would be practical for a warmer climate.

sophia said...

@aramina - on the lulu website, it says that if an item has been moved to wmtm within the return window, you cant do an online return (which seems like utter bullshit). so you'd have to take the item to a store. and if you take it to the store, they won't let you return and then re-purchase (also bullshit) because they consider that a "price-adjustment". you'd have to go to the store, return it, come back later and hope it's still there and actually marked down (because store markdowns don't always follow online markdowns) and then repurchase :/

Anonymous said...

Wait, the black swan WU pants are SPARKLE?! I'll be PO'ed if they are. I don't want to look like I bought them from a teenybopper store. Why on earth would lulu make sparkly pants? Isn't their target market ADULTS?!Gosh I hope they are regular material, I was so looking forward to them.

Anonymous said...

This upload was a disaster. The only thing I want to buy is whatever the designers are smoking. The color blocked items remind me of Jazzercise wear from the 80s. On a positive note, I'm saving all kinds of money by not buying Lulu every week.

Sophia said...

Stopped by the store today to pick up a pair of pants that were being hemmed. Grabbe the RG flow y (I personally LOVE the new flow y....it works much better for me that the old one, all of which I'll be ebaying (: ), a limitless blue fly away tamer headband and a black satin pirouette headband. The toasty PO was just sort of blah and the ice queen pants not nearly warm enough. Ill stick with my alpine pullover and outward bound pants from a couple years ago....

Anonymous said...

I tried on the Black Swan Forme pants in the store last week and noticed they were sparkly just folded up, but I couldn't tell they were sparkly when they were on my legs. I ordered a pair this morning and will see how they look at home in different light, though. Not sure why they bothered with that feature...

there was a surge scuba stretch uploaded. Am I really the only person to notice!!!??????!

Does anyone know how much merino wool is actually in the pitter patter pullover?

Mksaka said...

Sheerness actually isnt a problem! Theyre thick... for me they were true to size and very flattering. I have cellulite but they're thick enough to cover it up!

Mksaka said...

I own the WAFS clarity yellow scuba stretch! It DOES come with a zipper pull. The hair tie is limitless blue, similar to the blue thats used to line the zipper!
