Australian Heads Up - Not So Basic Short Sleeve Tee

A very interesting new product has shown up on the Australian side, the Not So Basic Short Sleeve tee made of silverescent sheer luon (thanks to the reader who pointed this out). I really like the classic, clean style and the new material is intriguing. I love sheer luon for hot days or hot workouts. I never thought silverescent was all that but it works really well to negate odors. It definitely comes in handy for training on a vacation.  This top also comes in Light Flare. The only issue is that it's $85 AUD so I assume it will run around $68 when it hits North America.

why we made this

This shirt was designed to keep us comfortable in all our sweaty pursuits - whether we're running, spinning or hitting the mat, we want a layer that won't weigh us down. We pull it on over our favourite tank for a little added warmth and coverage. When it's time to wash (the shirt not ourselves), anti-stink fibres help keep it fresh.

key features

  • lightweight, breathable Silverescent Sheer Luon is great for layering
  • anti-stink fibres in the fabric don't hold on to smell post-wash
  • the deep scoop-neck gives your chest some breathing room
  • reflective locker loop in the back makes this shirt easy to hang

 Hideous Mint Moment Forme Jacket.

Burning Yellow

Mint Moment

Polar Haze/Black Sea Stripe
The new Cool Racerbacks. I definitely want Burning Yellow and maybe the Polar Haze Sea Stripe, though it is a bit piratical. Mint Moment will wash me out so that's a pass.

There are a couple of new Silverescent Luon Bangbusters on the Australian site. They are $5 more than the regular Bangbusters. Not sure I want to pay $19 for a headband. Both headbands are now $15 AUD.

This upcoming color palette does not excite me at all! Also, It's hard to believe how little I've been tempted by Lulu this Fall and holiday season. So, this is more good news for my "saving for a bigger house" fund. Maybe I can make to springtime continuing with just occasional purchases. Things are so different from this time last year when everything LLL turned out was amazing and I was constantly telling myself "No". I have purchased a few items recently that I love, but it's not like I'm dying to have everything they release, which is normally the case.

I kind of like the Mint Moment Forme jacket. Then again I am mildly obsessed with Star Wars, and this could be why I like them!

Hopefully they'll go to WMTM because 118 for them is a bit to much, even $98 would be more reasonable.

I see the silver Bangbuster listed for the same price as the regular on the Aus site. Did they change it? I'm looking at the mobile site if that makes a difference. Both are listed for 15 AUD.

@ anon 9:21 am - It was $20 AUD earlier. That is too funny.

hahahhahaah LLA -you cracked me up with the caption " Hideous Mint Moment Forme Jacket".

- hey I like star wars too Sammi! But yikes for this jacket- I did see it in a solid color scheme and liked it! the shoulders are bold though.

Oh wow, that mint moment forme is not flattering at all. It almost blends in with the background, which might be part of the problem, but I can't see an adult woman running around in a mint green jacket.

I need that yellow CRB. Nice yellows are so hard to find!

Admittedly, I've only been purchasing Lululemon since earlier this calendar year. Is it common for Lulu to do so much repricing within hours/days of the initial release of an item (without it going to WMTM)? This seems like a shady business practice to me. What is the motivation?? (No, I don't expect a true answer)

I like that technical top made of silverscent. Like you said LLA the clean design is really appealing to me. I love wearing my sports bras underneath tops like this for a bit of coverage while I workout when there are people around. The yellow CRB is mine if it ever shows up in the USA.

Thanks for the updates

I'm loving the mint moment color. May hold out for a CRB even though those aren't my favorite tanks anymore (love the 105 singlet). MM and Shell Pink seem like spring or Easter colors. Odd for December.

Do you think North America will get burning yellow? I like it!!

@ anon 10:18 am - Not usually but maybe they realized they made an error in the price?

I totally want a Mint Moment CRB!!! I'll be stalking the site for that one. It will go great with my dip dye Scuba in Paris Pink and Black Swan. :) or maybe even the toothpaste color.

I would have to see mint moment in person, I LOVE menthol and this might be a little light for me.

At first I thought the actual name of the jacket was "Hideous Mint Moment Forme Jacket", ha ha ha!

@LLA, how does mint moment compare to last year's menthol? I missed out on it, but I've been eyeing one on the FB pages... if mint moment is similar maybe I'll just hold out! Thanks!

Did you also see the Pink Shell/Black No Limits Tank that Oz got? Love the combo so much, it might be what finally tips my hand to buy the NLT - I've shied away in spite of the popularity, and even though it looks terrific on most people, because those exposed flanks make me nervous, but in that combo it might be too hard to resist!

I sooo agree! I have saved so much money in the past 12 months since I am so past the point of buying Lulu just because it's Lulu and now actually want to LOVE the piece before purchasing it. And what's with people buying the same article of clothing in 8 different colours?? I agree there are a few items that are worthy of sticking around however I'd like more effort to go into creating new items opposed to the same old ones in different colours. And mint green in the middle of winter?? I think Lulu should go with more seasonal colours.

I am dying for a burning yellow mat, bangbuster and scuba !!!

@Anon 2:54 pm

I kind of disagree lol Im happy lulu doesnt do the seasonal colors... when stores all have the same colors and patterns in everything, I find it gets repetitive. So it;s nice to see product in things other than what i am used to :)

@2:54 PM

For me, I haven't been that impressed over the past two years or so with the new lulu tanks however I like a lot of the colours that come out. So I end up with a fair few CRBs, Power Ys and Scoop Neck tanks. This year I have bought more CRBs than the previous 5 years combined.

Also it's summer in Oz which is probably why we got the more summery colours first. Although I'm not sure why stores here are getting the winter jackets now as the average temperature this week for us seems to be around 30°C.

Agreed, that mint moment Forme Jacket has to be one of the worst things ever.

Liking the yellow CRB, don't care for mint moment.

Polar Haze Sea Stripe...could go either way. I tend to tire of stripes. I'd take a solid polar haze though.
