Australian Heads Up

New Polar Haze Stripe Cool Racerback. If this is Polar Haze and Inkblot I might have to have it once it hits North America.

Black and White Classic Stripe Cool Racerback. I believe this tank is in North America now. I'll have to see this in person. It could have a referee vibe about it.

Light Flare/Inkwell Back on Track Tank. Not really loving a lot of this stuff so far.

 Mint Moment Groovy runs.
The Love Red Scoop Neck Tank. This tank is in North America, I believe.

New Chevron Devotion SS.

The Mint Moment Class Stripe Nothing But Run Jacket.

Whoah... Ok.. So let me get this straight... They put the Devotion SS's on WMTM, just so they can bring in this horrible option?! That is WAY too busy..

That devotion tee is a target. I'd want to run the wearer over for points.

I like the Chevron print, but on the Devotion SS I can't help but think of Charlie Brown!

The more I see new stuff coming out from Lulu, the more I think...Lulu is getting to a point, where they don't know what to come out with, for color combinations. Laceoflague and now stripes. Im skinny and I stay away from stripes! doesn't Lulu know....stripes often make u look fat?! Im done pulling the trigger with my Lulu buying. I don't feel loyal to a company, that can't even give good customer service, when you get on chat or call them. I recently had to contact them about an "issue" and it was a long process of chat, call them, chat, chat, email them, call them and 3 hrs passed and no resolution. lulu has very few redeeming qualities at this point. I find myself looking at Lululemon clothing and saying, "oh those pants are nice...." And then I get out my credit card and buy from other companies. I don't feel that all my money has to go to Lulu anymore. it's like, "I like those new pants that just came out from Lulu, but they have bad reviews--I think I LOVE those Frye boots much more! Im buying those INSTEAD!" This is my new way of thinking...

There seems to be a new pink too. The Aussie website has a black/sea stripe printed pink shell black/pink shell in the NLT. Anyone know about this pink shell colour?

Chevron devotion- holy hideous!

The model in the chevron ss looks like she is wearing her mothers shirt. Looks old & unflattering IMHO.

i'm pretty small (size 4 lulu) but even I am not willing to risk wearing items following this horizontal stripe craze... the smaller slope stripes were ok (not noticeable unless you were up close) but these larger striped patterns lulu is coming out with really seem to make the models look wider/larger. Pass for me!

Ugh, Ewww. If you don't know already that I am talking about the flare/inkwell back on track tank, go back and look at it.

Its a nightmare!

Sadly I have noticed that Lulu has gone juvenile in their cuts and colours lately, they wooed me when Nike and Sugoi etc had garish prints and boxy cuts, but now that those companies have basic colours nicer cuts and reflective parts to keep me bright at night (not hidden like my lulu stuff.. I still don't get that, there is reflective UNDER the pony tail! Or around the Ankle when you roll it up... wtf, I don't like rolling my cuffs, I want my ankles warm!) I think I am going back. This marks a few months for me since I purchased anything significant...(aside from headbands and less than $20 items)

Yay!! I'll definitely be needing the classic stripe racerback to go with the inspires I ordered.

Why do the Groovy run shorts always look really static-clingy in the model photos? I don't remember my Groovy run shorts looking like that on me in the back.

Wish they had done a black and white chevron CRB instead of black and white classic stripe, and wish the stripes were wider on the BWCS, but I'm sure I'll get it anyway since I'm a sucker for b&w!

Those last 2 pics excite me a lot! I'm dying for something in the chevron print, but nothing has worked out so far. This is a possibility but my ultimate wish is for a CRB in this print. Also, I haven't liked anything about Mint Moment so far. I kind of overdosed on Menthol last year, but something about the stripe placement on this jacket really speaks to me.

That Chevron Devotion SS makes that model look like she has linebacker shoulders and a boxy build. In reality she is slim, toned and shapely. I can only imagine how awful I would look in that same T, since I don't have a body of a lulu model.
I like that first striped crb, too. I worry about the darker color bleeding into the lighter color though. Not as much as I'd worry about the black and white stripe one, of course.

I missed ou on the menthol last year... I would like to see how it compares to the new mint color.

@Stripe Haters -
i want to dispel the myth that "stripes make you look fat". firstly, i do not like the current striped offerings. however, not all stripes make you look fat! last fall (? i think) lulu released a pair of WUC in Black Stripes Galore (thick stripes). I was in the store and I tried them on just for the hell of it, expecting them to be hideous and not flattering. HOWEVER, they were the most flattering pair of WUC I had ever worn! They did NOT make me look fat - I'm a size 6 with muscular thighs, not chicken legs, and they looked awesome on. Plus, they pattern made my ass look amazing. So while I don't like any of the stripes lulu has out right now, I think it's unfair to say "when will lulu learn that stripes make you look fat!" - because sometimes they actually look really really good! (interestingly enough, i wound up ebaying those crops - as much as i loved the pattern, i find WUC to have too low of a rise...i'm always pulling them up in gymnastics. they sold for $160 (auction)!!! so it looks like others thought those stripes were awesome, too).

OMG Chevron is soooo UGLY!!! I don't want people to go cross-eyed when they see me! BLA! YUCK! Lulu, WHAT ARE DOING??? :( Seems to me, Lulu is buying the cheapest prints they can find!

Anonymous said...

I love the mint colored jacket, but STRIPES???? Now it's ruined! :( WTH is Lulu thinking?!? YUCK!

I like the love red scoop neck tank, but I already got the FTB tank in the love red color. If they come out with a blue one, I might get it. I like that tank, it is really flattering and quite versatile.
The other stuff is hideous. that mint color should be darker

It isn't just lululemon with these prints and colors. This is what everyone is selling. Color blocking is VERY popular in street clothing and I've seen it on actors on popular tv shows. I personally don't mind it in ONE item per outfit. It adds a splash of fun and colour to an otherwise dreary season :)

OT I has ordred the full stride skort in black from the WMTM a few weeks ago, and I did a full HIIT workout in this skirt, lots of jumping hip raises and heavy kettle bells, and it performed really well, I thought about trying it out in hot yoga. I ordered another one just in case I never see it again I got the black, and just ordered the alberta lake. I think this will also be great for lounging around. I am 5'3" muscular 120ish and I have narrow hips, so I think this is why this skirt works for me. I do have a bootie but it isn't bubbly more muscular.

chef you are right those types of patterns bring out the crazy in me.
they should just go all the way and make it inkblot and love red for added target practice visibility.

Looking at these pictures made my head dizzy. They're all too busy. I do not like anything Lulu has uploaded so far.

OT: I was looking at the AU site and couldn't believe how expensive the new Pump It Up tank is. NLTs are AUD79 while PIUs are AUD85, what's that going to be in USD? Crazy. I get that it's a 2-in-1 kind of thing but still. Personally spending USD64 for NLTs is the limit for me.

I actually like the Mint Moment Nothing but Run jacket. The mint looks great with black pants and that's pretty much all I own. I just don't have a need for it. I feel like I'd get overheated. Any reviews from fellow posters?

Oh Charlie Brown.

LLA - Glad to hear you bought the laceoflage scuba stretch! I love mine. I don't think dirt will show too much given the print, at least I hope not.

Hoping to see the BB U-Turn pullover uploaded soon. I love the pique material and the BB, so I must buy. :)

aree w/ the stripes looking good not fat- anyhow all in the eye of the beholder- if you think you look fat then you do to you only perhaps but what the hay! I have some discovery stripe wu and the stripes on the butt slant upwards ever so slightly- giving you butt the visual of uplifted- i noticed the new speet shorts have it the reverse downward so i didn't get them- don't want sag butt even if you don't it could make it appear that way. also someone mentioned the shorts looking like they are static clingy looking- well that is the recycled 4-way stretch fabric thats fairly new- when those shorts were first released a few years ago- they didn't use that fabric in any of the shorts- like the dog walker pants same thing- I don't like it on the speeds either they droop- unless you wear them tight! cheers

why are they making so many versions of the back on track tank? obviously it is not popular if it is not selling out. Why don't they stick with tanks they know will sell out (like the turbo tank or practice freely) and keep the supply limited? it is what has worked in the past. I am so annoyed with lululemon lately, they have not been coming out with new & fun tanks for those of us who work out indoors. They seem to keep bring out clothes in many variations of color in styles that are not useful.
