i really don't get why people love this pullover so much...i've yet to see a single photo of someone wearing this in which it's flattering. maybe it's a piece that mysteriously looks good on everybody EXCEPT the eds for the PN and the models? that would be odd, indeed. someone explain this to me?
Ohh, so excited. I tried it on last year and passed and went back and it was gone...story of my life. The luon panel at the bottom keeps it down and snug. I love my Off the Mat, and will love this thing, too!
Sophia, I don't think it's flattering either, you're not the only one. I think it's one of those things that's function over fashion as it does look cozy. Looks better than a Hanes sweatshirt I suppose.
Ha ha - I love the reactions to this one - elation from everyone who owns one and sheer befuddlement for everyone else. @ Sophia and others questioning the "style" of the DHBH: I don't actually think its really flattering on anyone, either, it's just that its so cozy as to be irresistible. I bring nothing else with me to wear around the house après ski, and if you are a triathlete or swimmer, there is nothing better to put on to head out into the cold after a pool workout. It's like comfort and joy in a pullover. So excited for a true black this year!
Finally! Something decent and comfy! I have also been looking for the Apres Run Pullover, which is similar to this one, to make a return this year. Any tips on that??
Ha ha, OT here, but I have the same nail decals/stick on polish the model is wearing... Lol
Also, still OT, but I received my Ice Quessn pants today. Went with a size 8, as I h e come to terms with the fact that I am a true 8 in Lulu bottoms (sadly my DSP are a size down item...). They fit very well, more snug than I expected, and although they have a triangle gusset, there is no CT!! Hooray! Lol This was my first Luxtreme purchase and I am not familiar with it. It says its brushed inside for added warmth, but that material itself feels like it could be a colder material. I got these for snowboarding, and im concerned when im super hot from being on the hill all day that ill feel intantly cold when i take off my snowboard pants. Anyone have any thoughts? Also, the "brushed" inside, although softer than the outside, is still not as soft as I had expected. Love the color of the inside of the waistband! It's either the slope stripe or WAFS in limitless blue. I wih it was in the outside of the waistband! Super pretty color/print.
Sophia, in addition to being unflattering on everyone, the neck looks just like the one on the astronauts' space suit. I have a DHBH from last year and every time I wear it, I must think "astronaut"
@HPSauce - you're going to feel cold in those pants. luxtreme, even the brushed kind, doesn't insulate well - wicks like crazy, dries fast, offers compression - but warmth? nada. luon is warmer. get the toasty tech tights if you want something that will insulate a bit, or a lighter option, the runder unders.
@HPSauce- I think that you were inquiring about sizing in the Toasty Tech pants the other day. I never responded because (with the extended return days) I hadn't given them a good try yet. I ordered both size 8 and 10. I wear size 8 Grooves and Astros and size 10 WUs and luxtreme bottoms. Interestingly, the size 8 Runder Unders fit me great (I have 2 pairs)! Anyways, I preferred the fit of the size 8 Toasty Tech pants. The material is really thick and very soft on the inside. Maybe they are more generously cut to allow for the thickness? The 10 fit, but I felt as though I looked slimmer in the 8's. and there was no lumpiness in my trouble spots (back of thighs). However, after all this, I returned both sizes to the store today. They seem so thick and warm that I don't feel that I need them that frequently in my climate. If they end up on WMTM at the end of the season, then I'll probably purchase them for next year. Another note: I'm a shorty (5'4") with short legs and these were a bit too long. Also the seams above the knees were almost too low on me (another shorty problem). That's my thoughts for what it's worth. I think you would find these pants much warmer than brushed luxtreme.
I had TWO of these fleece pullovers and I couldn't WAIT to sell them!! (And I did!) The neck, when you pull it up, makes you look like the time ET...was riding on the front of the bike, with a blanket covering part of his head! LOL... As a past owner of 2 of these "must-have" items, they weren't really that great! The fuzzy fleece pullover....now that was NIIICE!!! :) -Dips. Income girl
@sophia thanks. I do need something to wick as I get pretty warm when I'm on the hill. Maybe I'll just take an extra pair of sweats along with me to throw on over top when I take off the snowboard pants... Strange if these are a cooler pant that they would release them as a colder weather running pant....
DHBH pullover, don't get it at all even for apres or to be cozy. And certainly not at that price. I can be cozy in a lot of other nicer sweaters. Despite upgraded materials, 1980 called and wants its pullover back.
Just ordered a scoop neck and the new inspires, got the confirmation e-mail and it has the wrong color wth lulu!! Called right away and the Ed is telling me he has to cancel my order, I explain to him that I used a visa gift card and that I'm not sure if my card will be refunded.. He tells me that since I used a visa gift card my order will not go trough uhm hello I've made tons of orders using a visa gift card in fact just checked the funds of this card and lulu already processed the payment. Seriously why do they have to be so complicated. I haven't made an order in months now I have to wait for the wrong color to get to me so I can return it at a store.
@ HPSauce, I've tried the Toasty Tech Tights and don't see them as practical for snowboarding or for staying warm afterwards. They're a very compressive tight. I don't think LLL has what you need. I'd say go with a snowboarding Co's gear.
@ 9:20 PM - wow how uninformed is the educator; credit card gift cards totally work. I would think a refund would go back the same as a regular credit card, but how dumb that could only cancel it in order to correct the order.
I bought the toasty tech tights and there is no compression for me anywhere except the waist. They don't seem very warm either. When I hold them up to the light I can see through them! Is that normal for a winter running tight? -Jenn
Here's my dilemma, I'm 5'9" 135lbs broad shoulders and long arms. I wear a 4 in bottoms and tanks but a 6 in long sleeves (yogi LS) and an 8 in hoodies. What size should I order the DHBH in? I'm not really curvy and want that tight rulu part on the bottom to not be baggy. Please help.
IMO get a 6. The material is much stretchier/has more give than the original scuba so sizing down shouldn't be a huge issue. I also have broad shoulders, and I ordered the same size as my Scuba, but the rulu band on the bottom isn't as tight as it could be. I could have sized down and been ok, but for me, the priority was looseness in my shoulders. I'm really picky about things being tight up there. If your priority is the rulu band being extra tight, you should be fine sizing down to a 6.
Another solution is to order both sizes and return the size you dont want.... Just a thought.

This black is way better than last year's black!
MUST HAVE!! Been waiting for this!
I want those crops or pants she has on!! Anyone know if they are new???
They've been out for awhile - Tender Violet denim Wunder Unders, I'd guess.
I don't get what's going on at the bottom of this top? It's like a hoodie with 6 inches of another material that is ruched?
The bottom hem is made of running luon.

Anyone know where this is available to purchase?
Do we know when it'll be released?

Does this fit true to size, anyone know?
Is this a TTS or size down item? Many of the big pullovers I have to size down in or I look like a giant sack. Thanks!

Totally agree!!
Yes!!
I agree they are not that warm, toasty tech are warmer!!
@hp sauce
I tried the ice queen pants and wasn't very happy with this purchase. I like brushed wunder unders more.

Just got one at my Lulu in Ottawa, Canada! Also comes in creme!
Personally I sized down. My TTS was sloppy looking.
I'd prefer the DHBH in a different color but picked up the black just in case this is all they're coming out with.
Does anyone know if any additional colors are planned?
