Polar Cream Don't Hurry Be Happy and More

The Polar Cream Don't Hurry Be Happy Pullover. Looks just like last year's Ghost to me. These are hitting the stores in the US. If you want one you better high tail it to your store quickly. They are selling fast.

Beaming Blue Scuba and Classic Stripe Black and White Cool Racerback tank.

Polar Cream Lace print Swiftly SS and Laceoflage Speed Shorts.

Speedy Turtleneck in Polar Cream/White (it's not very pretty in person) and the Laceoflage Speed shorts.

OT - pvbody.com is offering a deal for new members who sign up for their monthly subscription of workout clothes. New members who sign up before 12/13 will receive a $25 lululemon gift card with their first order. The coupon code is 25lulu.

You take a quiz regarding what kind of exercise you do and what kind of workout clothing you like to wear. Based on the quiz, pvbody sends you a top and bottom once a month from brands such as NUX and Nike. And you can cancel your subscription at any time.

I just signed up, and hopefully everything works out! If I don't like the clothes, I will just return them (free shipping both ways!) and keep that gift card! =)

Love the outfit in the first pic (are those leg warmers?). *sigh* I wish I could be trusted with cream / white tops.

@ anon 8:55 - perfect example of what's changed about this company. It used to be run by a founder with a vision who actually believed in the product, whose quality reflected its mission; now it's run by a CEO (not a very good one, IMO) who believes in the almighty dollar.

Some items were repriced

Miracle Jacket is $198 (was $298)
Uba Hoodie is $148 (was $168)
Fireplace Jersey is $98 (was $128)
St Moritz Jacket is $128 (was $148)

FYI Price drop on the merino wool tops!

Anonymous said...

When can we buy them online?
Anyone know?
I want the black one!!

Thanks for the notice on the price drops! I haven't taken the tags off my St. Moritz turtleneck yet so I'll be asking for an adjustment. I was kind of hoping that would happen.

Wow, so many price drops at one time is unprecedented for lulu. They totally over reached on the price of many items.

@ Amanda - PV body is a ripoff IMO. They send you stuff from the lulu markdown racks so I wouldn't get that excited. They've been sending out a bunch of Nux stuff to people and been getting it all back since Nux runs really small. I think a lot of people have been getting items from American Apparel, too It's all stuff you find discounted on the various workout wear sites. From what I can tell they just scooped up a bunch on items that were on major markdown over Labor Day. I remember scoping out those Nux and Beyond Yoga sales. Beyond Yoga had bottoms for $10 for that sale. You'd do better haunting TJ Maxx.

The Don't Hurry Be Happy is in stores in Canada. Just picked mine up last night :)

I'm really hating the combo of white and polar cream. That turtleneck would be so pretty if it were one or the other.

Meanwhile that girl's arms are fantastic!

Anonymous said...

The girl in the last picture, looks like her shorts are waaaay too small for her! Look at how tight they look on her upper legs?! STRANGE. I won't be buying those shorts!

lulu has been doing this for years! They put something up for $300 and if it doesn't sell in 7 days, you can see some items drop as much as $100 in the price. another way lulu rips people off! :(

Zero interest in the DHBH pullover. Thanks and interesting on the price drops. Imo it's still a 'miracle' if the Miracle Jacket is purchased at $198. I think it is such a dumpy looking item. I find it funny they create something like this but there's not a lovely Cuddle Up in sight. I assume that perhaps a Cuddle Up may come along at some point, at probably an even more inflated price due to holding them back (and expecting those that want a new CU to pounce on them). If they meant for Cuddle Ups to be out and it's some manufacturing mishap/delay, then wow, that's bad if they can't count on the manufacturing process/plants etc. that they use.

I got the black & Cream version of DHBH last year & absolutely love them. I wear one of them every AM in the winter - One of Lulu hits.

Anonymous said...

Eric, thanks for the re pricing info!

LLA, how do you go about getting a price adjustment? Would I need to call the GEC or take it to my store when it arrives (I ordered the fireplace jersey yesterday). Thanks!

Anonymous said...

Saw beaming blue ..it's pretty but not that exciting imo
My lulu excitement is dying. For a company that preaches happiness and contentment they sure want you to be unhappy with what you have and to always consume.

Tried on DHBH today at my local Lululemon - not sure what the fuss is about. IMO Looks like a cheap fleece pullover you'd get at Target. It's not flattering and feels way too warm. If anyone in L.A. is looking for one - they have them at the Studio City store.

LuluAddict said...

@ anon 11:52 am - If you ordered it you can call the GEC. I've read they are giving people refunds without issues.

DHBH - bought one today at the Whyte Avenue store in Edmonton. My first experience with one and I can tell you- the second I put it on I knew that it was coming home with me to live. It's the softest ever fuzzy fabric inside and the thumb holes are the perfect place. Also the rulu (?) at the bottom keeps it from riding up and it's prefect for the cold Canadian winter. I plan on wearing this ALL. THE. TIME. One thing I think for sure is worth the money at lulu.

I REALLY REALLY WANTED to love the limitless blue Scuba*stretch because it is probably one of my favourite colours ever. However, I looked at it in the store, and couldn't believe how cheap it looks. The hood is so cheap and flimsy, the hoodie is so short. I'm 5'1" and I used to think the old scuba was just perfect. But this one looks like I am squeezing into my teenage daughter's clothing. It's so, so, so sad. I'm so sad about this. Sigh. I know it's a first world problem but I finally lost the 80lbs I gained when pregnant and can wear lulu again and I'm so sad to not be able to reward myself with a new hoodie. Back to the old ones I guess until Lulu decides to fire Christine Day and bring someone in with vision instead of dollar signs dancing in their head.

Im a little confused why you are posting that Lulu will give refunds or do price adjustments at the GEC??? I think, it must DEPEND on WHO you speak with when you call. I called 10 days ago to get a price adjustment and was told, "Lululemon DOES NOT and WILL NOT do price adjustments!" I had to argue over the phone twice, with 2 different GEC reps and was told if I wanted a price adjustment, I'd have to travel to a STORE! (I live 6.5 hrs away from the nearest Lulu) After much arguing, she told me she would refund me the difference, but that this was a ONE TIME THING. So posting and saying to call the GEC, they will give you a price adjustment, well...that's not always so!! They don't seem to CARE about their customers, they just want all our money! I was humiliated and made to feel like,I was to kiss her A$$ because she did this special price adjustment for me! I have friends, who also have been turned away for price adjustments when calling the GEC, so Im NOT the NLT one!!

I saw the DWBH pull-over at the Santa Barbara store yesterday, and I was underwhelmed. I tend to feel claustrophobic in pull-overs! Plus it is never really cold here for an entire day, so I cannot rationalize a purchase for so little wear.
Has anyone else tried PV body? I placed an order right before Thanksgiving and still have nothing.

Anonymous said...

I just got off the phone with the GEC and they said they WON'T price adjust, but will offer a full refund, if that's what you want. So there go! :(

Hit Canada (or Vancouver at least) a few days ago. My store in SoCal just got them today! Black and polar cream are all we've seen so far! Just bought the polar cream. Coziest. Jacket. Ever.

Thanks LLA! I got my $42.08 refund processed from my fireplace jersey purchase. Interestingly, the rep stated that they could only refund because it had shipped but not arrived....that's kind of shady in my book!

Also went to my store today (in Arizona). Sadly, no Hot Cheeks skirts and no DHBH pullovers. Any angels out there who would be willing to procure a black or white skirt in a 6 for me? :-) if so my email is Mallory.fox @hotmail.com

I tried calling to get a price refund for the difference. They will only arrange for a return wherein you send it back (if tags are attached or perhaps if you still have the tags), and then you can re-purchase it at the lower price. Seems silly (and wasteful for both LL and the buyer) that they cannot do a price exchange given how new the item is and how they dropped the price so quickly. Is standard business practice for most chain retailers to allow a 14 day price adjustment. Frustrating!

Eric said...

If they refuse to give you the difference. Return the goods to the store and repurchase online or in store. If you took the tags off, order online and take that new item in the mail back to the store (with the old receipt).

LuluAddict said...

I've read several people got a price adjustment without a major hassle. Call back and get a different GEC person.

Anonymous said...

I spoke w 2 Reps at the GEC tonight and they BOTH told me, they will NOT do any price adjustments!! Refund only....was what both reps told me. so....poor this is how lulu treats its customer base!!

Anonymous said...

does anyone know if the dwbh pullover will be available online to buy? I do not want really want to go to the mall its too crazy

Anonymous said...

I called the GEC for a price adjustment and got it no problem. I think a lot depends on whom you speak to.

Humorous note - I keep seeing a lot people on sites, including here, complaining about the so-called uselessness of the big fleecy items and other such wear, but forgetting that, like the poster from Edmonton above, some of us live outside of SoCal or Arizona, or other places where it's temperate all year.

Sure, you're not going to get much use out of a DHBH there. But here, when it's -20 degrees outside and there are snowstorms into March, it's a different story. A fleecy pullover with rulu to cover your bottom and a neck that can keep you warm without falling open all the time (my WTFluff scarf never stays tied for me)? All over it. I picked up the black today and I plan to snuggle up in that thing as often as possible.

Anyone think that the Draft Dodger jacket will go on sale?

I was just stating a way to work around if they still refuse.

Just got my DHBH today and I'm in love! It's soooo cozy and soft. Yes it's not exactly the most flattering piece of clothing but comfort wins this battle. I live in Canada and it's cold. By the sound of some comments I was expecting to be sweltering in this pullover but that's not the case. Just the right about of warmth. I love the rulu on the bottom edge as it keeps it in place so I don't get drafty. Also love the built in wristwarmers cause I always have chilly hands. I'm usually between sizes and went with the bigger size. The smaller size would have been a bit tight in the shoulders if I want to layer.

The store said they just got these yesterday and they're already sold out of many sizes so hurry up if you want one!

I bought the white and polar cream turtleneck and its GORGEOUS! I dont know why ppl think its not nice, the photos make the contrast look more than what it is i think!

Don't hurry be happy seems to be ironically named seeing as you might have to hurry to get it. lol

I bought the Stuff My Bra? (I think that was the name) sports bra over the summer and a few weeks later they repriced it and I didn't have to call the GEC...they just sent me an email and credited my card the difference automatically with a note about "oops you were overcharged." Hopefully, if you ordered online, they will just do that.

SOOOO...i tried on a DHBH in store today. I was one of those posters commenting that I just "didn't get it" because it's so unflattering in the pictures I've seen. Well, I've finally figured it out! The DHBH is basically the fleece/sweatshirt equivalent to UGGs. Everyone admits that UGGs are not the most attractive boots...but women keep buying and wearing them because they're "SO COMFY". For some women, the comfort alone wins out -it's enough to justify the $200+ dollars for ugly (albeit cozy and warm) footwear. For other women, despite how comfortable the boots may be, they just won't do it. The DHBH pullover is the same. It's not simply a case of "if you don't love it, it's because you haven't tried it on" - there are many women who have tried it on, but don't love it becasue - well - it's not flattering. But if you're the kinda gal wearing UGGs around, you'll probably be tempted by this, too.

That said, I bought one. I have a love/hate relationship with UGGs, and I'm not yet sure about this pullover but Union Square was the only store in NYC to get these in, and I got the absolute last size 4 that there was. Oh, I sized down in case anyone is wondering. I wear a 6 in just about everything, but the 4 looked just a little bit less frumpy and more pulled together - it helped with the whole "flattering thing". So if you love this pullover, you might want to try sizing down in it. Wish it came in other colors.

OT- if you're looking for new WUC/WU style pants to get you through the sheer Luon/CT phase, I recently bought some Nike tights and crops, and I've worn them each a couple of times, and I LOVE them. I never cared for Nike much before, but here's what I like:
-Fit more TTS (I wear a 4 in Lulu, and I bought an XS in both)
-Fabric is NOT sheer
-Slimming seams in the front side and backside.
-Wide waistband like the Lulu crops, but it doesn't cut in anywhere. I can wear thin, light-colored CRB and no lines!
-Comes in short, medium and long lengths (I'm short, so this is great for me
-Triangle gusset!

Just wanted to report in because I am one of the long-time Lulu fans who hate the new fabric/gusset. I think these are a great alternative. Oh, and the full-length tights are $70 and the capris $60. They are Nike Legend Tight Fit.
Just a note- the fabric feels a little stiff when you try them on, but they loosen right up and they're great.

I'm wondering if I should go with my scuba size for the DHBH? Hoping it uploads tomorrow night!!!

Anon 7:41 - I'm in between sizes 4 and 6, I have scubas in both. I choose which one I want to wear depending on what I am layering it over, and I think the DHBH is the same. I tried on the 4 and it looked less frumpy as it was more fitted. However I felt too restricted in the shoulders when I layered it over a tee. I ended up getting a 6 cause I wanted to be comfy. I know some people have been sizing down as its more flattering but I think the point of this pullover is comfort. Also, I started overheating pretty quickly in the smaller size cause it was tight. So I'd say stick to your normal size, unless you want to wear it on its own i.e. not a layering piece.
