The Newest

The text in the new All Sport Heart Rate Monitor bra (on the Australian side) says you can use any heart rate monitor. Interesting. That would be cool because I have HRMs for both Polar and Garmin. Unfortunately, the All Sport is not supportive enough for me for running but I can use it for spin and other cardio. Hmm. I wonder if you can throw this bra in the wash. I know you can machine wash Polar straps but Garmin says to hand wash.

The Contentment Triangle tank and new Wunder Under crops. There are also black and white stripe Wunder Unders. Under Crop - both are made of cotton. The Beaming Blue version is cute. Shown with a Devotion tee and St. Moritz Sweater in the top photo.

Flayway Tamer headband in classic stripe - I might have to get this - Chevron Scoop Neck Tank and Power Up crops.
Lace Polar Cream Swiftly and Beaming Blue Inspire Crops.

New Mint Moment Vinyasa made of luon light.

Some of the new items on the Australian side of the website. Now we have stripes combined with color blocking. Ugh.

Bonded Groovy Run Shorts in Flare/Inkwell
Pretty new Take Me With You Tote in Spring Multi/Polar Haze
I kind of like this No Limit Tank. I'd also like to know what color bottoms those are - Tender Violet again?

Inkwell/Burning Yellow Inspire Crops

Who approved this one?
Mint Moment/Black

Inkwell/Light Flare
A new long luxtreme tight called the Get Up and Glo. Don't worry, there is also a solid black version.

It looks like a Bangbuster headband is coming the Spring Multi print. Also shown are a Flow Y and Mint Moment Power Y.

Another new silverescent sheer luon top was debuted - the Technicool LS. I wish it wasn't cropped so much.

Polar Haze striped Top Speed crops. I don't mind these since wild run bottoms are in right now.

Oh my gawd!! Those stripes on that red forme with the colour blocking! Egad! But I'm loving those spring multi bangbusters and will buying one as soon as I can! :) and WHERE are our rulu vinyasas??!! That luon light makes my skin crawl so close to my face! It's like they are jut making everything worse and worse! I agree I uses to walk in and try on things that I wasn't sure about then they'd fit like a glove so I'd have to buy them now it's the opposite- I have to force the fit- but I'm not sure why I'm still trying...

Also those speed shorts scream construction site not running in a park.. Sigh.

Good Lord, what IS this fuglyness that has become Lululemon? I would be embarrassed to wear any of this.

@ V - Bwahaha! Exactly!!

I wish to thank all LLL designers and esp. Ms Day for helping us to better cope in this 'fiscal cliff' economy. It's been so much easier to save $$$ now that I don't check Lulu sites or visit the stores.

I can just picture someone wearing the flare/inkwell Forme jacket with the "matching" Speed shorts....

Wow, just when we think we've seen the worst, now there's the Flare/Inkwell SS and colour blocking, the Inwell/Flare Get up and Glo tight and that Forme Jacket - all absolutely ghastly! Wouldn't wear these if someone paid me to. Wouldn't take them from wmtm even if they were $10.

LLL is really clueless.

I usually have to stop myself from buying every long sleeve running top lulu makes. This year not a one! I don't like the color blocking and hatenthe curved hem (adds hip width IMO) because I like a more athletic look. Also, reminds me of old lady look and I'm not young :). In addition, though the new ones feel soft the material is so think that with any added sweat or rain they will be like a sponge.

I don't hate on the Beaming Blue Inspire Crops, but all the flare/inkwell stuff reminds me of Syracuse (and not in a good way).

I miss the good old days when lulu made PRETTY technical gear, and my biggest issue was what to buy, because I wanted it all! Sadly, the drought continues. It looks like a loooooooong winter ahead when all the pieces look like walking "Road Hazard Ahead" signs.

Lululemon hired the costume designer from Beetlejuice!!!!!

The St. Moritz sweater is finally marked down to $108 on the web site. It's still too much and too short.

We are always saying on here that we HOPE or that we KNOW Lulu reads this blog. Ummmmm...not so sure about that! If they DID read this blog, they would have made the necessary changes by now! I have spoken to The GEC a few times and mentioned about this blog and they acted like they knew nothing about it. So I wouldn't put it past them, to NOT read these Lulu blogs. they say they want to hear feedback from their guests, but my guess is they don't REALLY care. Look at all the angry customers and complaints in 2012. Lululemon addressed overall concerns maybe ONCE with an apology letter from one of their depts and yet you still felt, they were blaming the Cusotmer. I don't have "high hopes" for Lulu in 2013..... Lulu is a sinking ship and she's sinking FAST!

Looking for some info from anyone who may know. When an item has been repriced will the store where you purchased it do a price adjustment or should I just return the items and then repurchase online at the lower price? I purchased both the St. Moritz sweater and jacket at full price about a week ago. TIA!

Two observations:

That Contentment tank gives the look of saggy boobies. Every time I look at it, I can't get the image of the two boobies hanging down in the most unflatering way. Why did the have to outline/separate them like that?? Not pretty at all.

Second, when I looked at the back of the Speed shorts in flare/inkwell, the first thing that came to my mind was: did she get her period and forgot to wear a tampax before going running??!!

it kills me that lulu couldn't have made sure to match the thread to the stripe in the fly away tamer headband. it's sooo easy....if you're going to make the seam on a black stripe, use black thread. if the seam is on a white stripe, white thread. otherwise, it just looks cheap and sloppy. it's those little attention to details that lulu used to have...but not anymore. i would have loved that headband, but i'm not buying a fourteen freaking dollar headband that looks like it cost 2 bucks.

@ anon 6:33am - As a Syracuse alum I have to stop myself from liking some of the Flare/Inkwell stuff as great looking teamware. However, I could never like that Forme jacket.

The model looks like she's wearing a kids Technicool LS!! I hate short/cropped tops.. I am petite, and I have a large bust (32H), so my bust will often lift a shirt significantly and short tops make me look wide. I need longer tops that give the impression that I have a longer torso to also make me look somewhat taller too. I have yet to even try on a new scuba as the ones I have now are almost bad enough... PLEASE BRING BACK NORMAL LENGTHS!!!

I'd love Inspire Crops or RFYL crops in SOLID inkwell. No more color blocking please. I've wanted navy or black swan crops for a while now.. Ebb and Flow would be perfect:(

@Rosa -- the same thing happened to me 3 times in a few weeks last month. I was able to get credits from GEC Chat on the WTF pullover and vests bc I bought them online. I also took my Ice Queen long sleeve shirt in to the store and they credited me no problem, even though it didnt have tags. When I first chatted GEC about it they were like tough luck, but then I had good results from sending a FB message and the store couldn't have been more pleasant. Good luck!

@ 8:05 AM, LLL knows about this blog. I don't think we have to wonder. Also once, in store (Canada), I heard an educator say (in a neutral way) to a customer "we know all about the LLA blog". Whether they (corporate) do anything with the feedback given (here or on FB), that's clearly another story.

Anonymous said...

@12:10 PM okay so if some human being from LLL actually reads this blog. I'd like to advise them to hire people who actually know spandex is the same as lycra. I shouldn't have to EDUCATE your GEC on a very basic fiber in your LUON,RULU... Even after I explained to her that DuPont invented it and just has different names for it, she said "so this has both lycra and spandex." /facepalm

I'm so confused -- why aren't any of these items showing up on the uploads? Like the spring has sprung print no limit tank... is it only in stores? Only in some stores, but not online? Help!! :(

Anonymous said...

thats too funny about the lycra spandex! Anyhow i'm very sure they know about this blog. The new ceo Day, maybe she is the reason this company is tanking? Seems like since she took over things are going down hill? Just saying! I miss the lulu of last year- I too havn't found a long sleeve pullover to buy this year last year i went on mad buying binges!

Terrible. All of it.

Thanks, lulu, for continuing to make ugly clothes. You have saved me so much money over the last year, since all I have purchased since last year's run turnaround jacket and long sleeve, are socks and gloves.

Some of these would be amazing for Princeton's annual P-Rade.
