Today's Shopping Trip

Today I went to try on the new Inkblot Cool Racerback and Power Y. I liked them both but was having a hard time choosing which to get. The Inkblot print is one I'd enjoy more as a casual top rather than a workout top so I think I am going to order the Every Yogi tank in the print. People who have received theirs say the fit is similar to the Modern Racer tank and to order your normal CRB size. I also tried on the Deep Indigo Groove pants and I thought the luon felt like old luon - brushed cotton with the right thickness. The color reminded me a lot of Deep Navy. I used to own several Deep Navy bottoms but ended up selling all my DN since I stopping wearing it. My store did not get the Deep Indigo/White denim Wunder Unders. I love them in every photo I have seen of them. I saw the Yin Me Sweater but it was $98 so I didn't even bother to try it on. That's just too much for me to spend on a lulu sweater.

I tried on a braided headband but it rolled right off the back of my head so that headband style isn't going to work for me.

I ended up leaving the store with the Paris Pink Swiftly Racerback. All but one of my Swiftly tops are the old, Israeli made swiftlys with lycra in them so I've been a little leary to try the new versions made in Sri Lanka. However, I didn't find too much of a difference in feel, fit, and performance in the Rocksteady Swiftly I wore this morning from my older versions so I decided to get the Paris Pink tank today. I can wear a Swifty tank for both running and spin so it made a sensible, versatile choice for me today. I liked the Inkblot Power Y a lot but to be able to run it in, I'd have to wear a Ta Ta Tamer underneath and I don't think that would feel very good (way too constricting) or look good unless lulu is coming out with a Deep Indigo TTT. I am hoping lulu comes out with their spring run tops soon.

Outfit of the Day Couch to 5K Week 4 Day 3 Workout

Today was my last day of the Couch to 5K Week 4 Workout. I wore my new Rocksteady Swiftly LS a friend picked up for me at the Chicago Warehouse sale, a Rocksteady Ta Ta Tamer, Ebb and Flow Crops, and a Sprinkler Ikat headband for something fun. My kids have infected me with their cold germs so I didn't enjoy this run very much but I got through it. I am hoping that by exercising and raising my body temp I've killed off this cold. Whenever I feel a cold coming on a good spin session seems to beat it back and people have told me it's due to raising your core temp. Not sure if that is true but I rarely get colds anymore. I am feeling much better this evening than I did earlier so I hope it worked. If I am feeling good enough tomorrow, I'll spin and put the nail in the coffin to this cold.

The next week's C25K workout will be very challenging: Day 1- 5 min run, 3 min walk, 5 min run, 3 min walk, 5 min walk; Day 2 - 8 min run, 5 min walk, 8 min run; Day 3 - run 20 minutes. I don't know if I am up to ramping up the running to 8 minutes and then to 20 minutes but I guess I'll find out. I didn't tack on any extra minutes today and my knee and hamstrings thank me tonight. I have hardly any soreness at all. I guess that will teach me to push too hard.

Blast From the Past: Weird Color Codes in Product Notices This Week

Move Tank in Kiss Persimmon Chipper Print with Pow Pink Straps, circa 2009

The product notice emails have been showing some odd color codes this week. In one of mine there was a photo of the Inkblot Power Y yet the color code underneath was given as Chill Blue/Multi Greens Fancy Love Print. Under the photo of the Inkblot Scuba, the color code was given as Blurred Dove Print/Clarity Gray. Another reported seeing Hot Move Shorts supposedly coming in Persimmon Tie Dye. And, yet another person says that they got a PN saying that Yin to You crops were coming in Kiss Chipper Print/Persimmon/Pow Pink which I happen to have bought in the Move Tank years ago. It turns out that these are all older colors/prints from at least three years ago. Unfortunately, I don't think all these prints are being given a curtain call but there must have been an error in however the lulu stores build their product notices. Sorry to burst your bubbles. There is a chance I am wrong but I'm pretty certain I'm right.

Aussie Heads Up - Discover Stripe White Deep Indigo Power Y

Those lucky ducks in Australia are starting to get tanks in the Discover Stripe pattern. This is a Power Y in the pattern. We know there is also a Cool Racerback because it's on the website. It definitely does have a  preppy Tommy Hilfiger vibe about it but it's cute.

NEW! Full Expression Short Sleeve Tee

New Full Expression Short Sleeve tee made of tencel silk jersey. It comes in black and aquamarine. Easy pass for me. I'm waiting for the spring run line to show up. Hurry up, please.

Photos of the Latest

The more I see them the more I love the Deep Indigo/White Denim Wunder Unders.

For some reason I thought the new Practice Freely tank was circle mesh on the outside but it's sheer luon. No biggie, they are both cool fabrics for hot workouts. Anyway, it's rare to come across photos of the Paris Pink version.

There is a Paris Pink version of the braided headband out. It's on the website now but I want to check the fit in a store.

The Aquamarine Yin Me pullover looks so pretty in these photos.

I love how this girl's shows play off her Aquamarine LS Swiftly.

The Deep Indigo Yin Me is gorgeous but I'm not a fan of the look of the reverse side.

I cannot like the Tea Lounge Pullover at all. If you order it, I think you need to size up - it is tight in the upper chest, as you can see in this photo. It's also stiff so the side tails don't drape that well.
