ARITZIA is finally online in Canada for ordering!!!!!! Bye bye Lulu...hello TNA! :) Haven't placed a lulu order in 6 months and did a HUGE order from Aritzia last night! Shipping was only $8 and my order was shipped out in 3 hrs! :) They also have a HUGE HUGE sale section online, with amazing deals! Just thought I would let everyone know! (If you didn't already know) SOOO excited!!
The first model looks great! She actually makes it work!
Hate all the bowed hems this season. Many seem out of balance with the top. When I asked an Ed why everything is old lady bowed hem she said people like to hide CT, really! I had tried on the new pullover and the bowed hem was so round and long it looked like an apron. It did hide things but honestly if I am wearing something that gives me CT I have a problem.
OT but did anyone else see these comments (which I think are new) from Day? http://finance.yahoo.com/news/why-lululemons-stuff-almost-never-200510186.html
interesting considering the weird discounting after boxing day! also her characterization of her customers is kind of insulting.
The bowed hem also keeps the top from riding up.

@ anon 7:44 am - Interesting. She's probably responding to the analyst who lowered guidance because of the big Boxing Day markdowns. The analysts made a big deal about that - the quantity and depth of the markdowns.
@ M - Interesting about the bow shape keeping it from riding up. I don't have a bow-shaped hem so can't comment if it works.
Just so everyone knows who is not familiar with Aritzia, all sale items are final sale.
most stores, items on sale are normally final sale. Thats a given! :)
No sale is ever final at REI, Northface, Patagonia, Athleta, Nordstrom, LL Bean, and many more....
I've never tried Aritzia (TNA) for workout wear...can anyone with more experience comment please?? Is TNA really a good substitute for Lulu? I'm trying to not buy as much lulu because too many teenyboppers around here (Cali) are sporting it. On the other hand, Aritzia is gaining massive steam here in the US and everyone is curious.
I have actually found that with a jacket I have that has the hem slightly bowed (not quite as much as these mind you). It is way more comfortable to bend over and sit in even as it's not having to slide up to accommodate for the movement in the hips.
In Alberta here, I've noticed TNA is huge with the teenagers...
Looked at the website just now, but this appears to be regular clothes as opposed to workout apparel. Maybe I missed something??
Im in my 30s and LOOOOVE Aritzia !!!! have all their stuff! :)
Maybe sale is usually final sale in Canada but in the US it is rare - I would say Lulu is about the only retailer I shop at that does it.
Anon 7:44 thanks for the link to the article - that really ticks me off! I don't like the characterization of customers by the CEO as "fanatics" I recommend they start reevaluating their designs and customer service because those same "fanatics" may not be around as they find other retailers without 2-week return policies, and poor customer service.
Day was also interviewed on CNBC here is a link with a few articles as well.

Anyone wondering about Aritzia and their TNA line, or TNAction (which is what the activewear line is called)...It is not that great. For casualwear, sure Aritzia has decent options, but it is directed at a very specific customer. Items tend to be extremely trend-oriented and I think they target a young consumer base (like late 20's max). I believe their sizing starts at XXS. So if you are anything above a size 8, you usually feel like a cow in their stores. I have purchased a few items from the activewear line, but the supplex material tends to pill easily. That, in contrast to the original Luon is night vs. day. Also, if you ever wear anything mid- or high-rise for workouts, then forget about Aritzia. They make their stuff to sit on teenager hips, and they do not seem to focus on functionality as much as Lulu. I mean, there are times (like yoga inversions) when you need the higher rises. I just checked out the website - seems poorly designed and categories I was looking for just didn't exist. You couldn't narrow down exclusively to activewear. I've stopped shopping at their stores and this website is a pass for me.
