NEW! Out and About Jacket

The tail can button up

The hood snaps off

Shown with new Coast to Class Crops
New Out and About Jacket, made of wind and water reistant Glyde (I think). Can't say I am a fan from these initial photos. It looks on the short side.

Ugly, and sort of reminds me of 18th century dresses.

Snaps are so 1980s.

Another shorty jacket... I'd be all over that pink one if they made it a normal size. I guess this is the trend right now, but I'm on the tall size, so shortie items look really short and not good. Can't wait until they go back to the regular length stuff!

That jacket does look a tad too short. I have no idea what purpose a short water resistant jacket actually serves. It should at least cover the shirt you are wearing!

That's silly looking so short and flared! Dislike!

I see where they are trying to be cute, but I don't like it. The hood is too big and the tail looks awkward. My observation on speed shorts is new colors only come every other week. Is that right? Yes, frond gros gingham looks like old man golf pants, but I've warmed up to the idea and want to at last try them. The suspense is killing me

Is it just me or is this jacket strange looking? I normally reserve jedgement till I see stuff in person, but I don't love this jacket. It seems like every time Lulu tries a peplum, the fail. This jacket looks like motorcycle club in front & "fashion" in back; but then maybe that's the point?

Dang! I was so excited when I saw the name of the jacket thinking it would be Daily Yoga-ish & casual/comfy. Yikes! It should be called the Rainy Day Mary Poppins Jacket. That's what it reminds me of. And doesn't look comfy enough to wear out & about :(

OMG!!!!! WAYYYY TOO SHORT!! Looks like a riding jacket that got caught in someone's blender, just before they left the house!

Better jacket that looks very similar, but cuter, made by Athleta...$64! Sorry LuLu.

I like the jacket! I like lulu stuff that isn't so obviously "sporty". I want to try on the black and pink to see if I'll buy.

not such a great design on the jacket. the material looks good. I just don't understand why someone would design something like that. it needs to be functional first. Yuck!!
I'll stick to Patagonia or Marmot.

Lulu is so schizo these days - Day says they're doing away with street wear and moving into more technical product, so we all suffer through a wrap-less winter only to be greeted by short peplum rain jackets? When was the last time you saw an ArcTeryx jacket with a peplum? Honestly...

You hit the nail,on the head, perfectly said!

Ha ha that is too funny lulufemom!!! No kidding- Big Miss again! Wow all they'd need to do is resurect all the hot sellers from last year in some new good colors and they'd make a mint guarenteed! as long as they don't make revisions like making hemlines shorter and/or curved too much! but i suspect they must know and since they keep making fuggly- its on purpose? can't explain it any other way IMO!

Agree. Agree. Agree. Hate the new lulu. Want the old lulu back. The tech stuff doesn't work. The short stuff is ugly, color palettes putrid. Buying Patagonia & Spyder jackets.

Jamie, I agree! Looks motorcycle in front & who knows what in back. Very bi-polar.

Yes, motorcycle in front & who knows what in back! Too bi-polar to take seriously.

I am hoping that the designers are reading this blog. Learning from mistakes can be a good thing. it is just that they keep making more and more bad designs and probably thinking that they are innovators.
hopefully this one is a recall.
