NEW! Rise and Shine Pullover, Layer Me LS, and Pace Skirt

Some teaser photos of new items were released. This is the Rise and Shine Pullover. It comes in Bleached Coral and Frond. It looks like rulu from this photo.

New Layer Me LS. It's made of running luon and has a zip pocket.  It comes in Black, Mellow Lemon/White, and Bleached Coral/Dune/Black. I am curious to see more of these. I love the Bleached Coral/Dune/Black color scheme.

 New Pace Skirt.

New armwarmers with silverescent. One of these days I am going to break down and get a pair. My husband likes running in them, though he bought a much cheaper brand.

I think this might be a new tank style but I am not sure.

Well, I just spend an hour looking around the NY Union Square store and I am totally confused... There's more "casual/street" than active/performance wear. I've periodically checked out your blog (which I have to say is fabulous), but I'm so disappointed with the product. I want new bottoms, particularly shorts (my favorite is the boogie) and i can't quite seem to figure out if no one actually wears this stuff to workout. Just venting... Even the sales associates (at least they looked like they worked out in the past, whether or not they actually did) were a little on the out of shape club. not exactly sending the right message now, are we?

No interested in any of these things, or in these colours

This is so crazy I had to share. Was just in the SF flagship Gap store (where they carry a lot of GapFit stuff) and found an almost exact dupe of Ebb & Flows. GapFit calls them "gfast gathered capris" and it is the exact same fabric as E&Fs, and they even copied the ruching around the calf! After I ranted and raved about their lack of integrity for blatantly copying one of LL's best sellers, I actually caved in a bought a pair. I know. Shame on me. But c'mon, it was only $35 and I even liked the fact that it's ~1.5inches shorter than the new E&Fs (I prefered the shorter gen 1s)

Anyway...go check these out especially at 30% off ending today.

Armwarmers are awesome! I love them for in between weather when running, if you get too hot with them pulled up you can take them off or scrunch them down!

Eager to see the new pace skirt. Otherwise nothing is a "must have" for me. I also do notice not all the sales at my local store look like they are into yoga/exercise, BUT I can't really judge others activity level by their shape. I am a daily runner and considered myself quite active, but due to my age (late 30s), I am still on the chunky side now compared to when I was in my 20's, not working out but still was slim...
Kind of off topic - did anyone watch the Amazing Race last nite and noticed the girls wearing Lulu products?

I think your comment is very judgmental. Some people work out but do not exactly look like they work out so assuming that the "worked out in the past" is rude and judgemental. Not everyone can get in tip top shape or knows how and that shouldn't be a reason for a person to be limited from working in a certain store. Should only fat people work at McDonald's because the food is fattening? I think your comment is ignorant.

Are they serious with that skirt?

Yikes on the new Pace Skirt. Even on someone that it seems to fit, it does not look flattering.

I'm in shape and workout hardcore in LLL gear. When I'm (frequently) in LLL trying stuff on or getting stuff hemmed, educators often ask me what my activity is. I tell them running and yoga (usually don't mention weights, since it's my least favorite.) When I've asked any of them what they do, only a few times has any of them told me that they run, yoga, cycle, go to gym etc. One of or a combo. It's not uncommon to hear that they are just getting into running, yoga etc. We usually have a nice chat about motivation and inspiration and it's good vibes.

Just got back from the Brentwood Store and tried on the Layer Me LS. It comes in Black/Bleached Coral/Dune and the Mellow Yellow/White you have pictured on your blog now. I'll send you a pic of the other. Fits pretty TTS, didn't notice a curved bell shaped bottom hem. The sleeve is long with glove thumb hole much like the First Base Long Sleeve that never went online. Material is rulu and cost is $88.

Also tried on the Pace Skirt. Super cute in both Burning Yellow and I think it was a bright orange, flare? Fits nicely with the plastic piping on the inner short lining to ensure they stay put on your skin. Both are great bright colors. $64 I think these were.

Thanks, Chingaling. I don't know if I am a fan of the glove thumbholes. Don't they look funny if your thumb isn't in them? Like a little appendage hanging off your arm?

i don't think the gap lacks integrity because they have a knockoff of the ebb and flows. in fact, i will buy them if they can make them so they are NOT sheer:)

i would buy several, actually if anyone has them, sheer reports? what a fantastic option!

lulu is the one who lacks integrity, changing items with out identifying it on the website description, blaming customers for quality issues, list goes on and on. they are just cheapening everything, that shows a lack of integrity if you ask me.

Hey anon 1:30! You poor thing all alone in your skinny world! Why don't you eat a carb your not such a crazy judgmental person! Why don't you march back to union square and tell them what you think instead of saying it on an anonymous blog!

All I have to say is wow! Stay classy anon 1:30!

Thanks to the additional info from Ching-a-ling re: the Layer me LS, I am totally onboard with the black/bleached coral/dune, but I just don't understand the glove thumbhole thing myself. I hope it doesn't mean that codpieces are going to make a comeback in men's fashion.

In re: to The Amazing Race, quite a bit of of LLL product. My five and eight year old daughters called out numerous times during the show, "Hey Mommy she's wearing your (fill in the blank)!" I found it quite funny that my girls also noticed the LLL product. My husband was not as amused.

LLA, I'm a huge fan of the First Base LS that I mentioned before but never pulled the trigger as I'm waiting for it to go on md. $88 for a jersey shirt is a lot for me. So is this Layer Me LS, but I might do it because I love both of the colors more than I love just Polar Haze in the First Base LS. Both have that glove thumb hole, and I don't remember being bothered by it during the several times I've tried them on. It didn't stick out like an appendage if my memory serves me correctly. I think I was more concerned with justifying the purchase since I'm ONLY a newbie runner. I have a tendency to overdo the outfitting/gearing of myself whenever I have a new interest hence the plethora of hiking and skiing gear.

I'll prob go back tonight to retry on when I'm not in such a hurry. I'll send pics of the thumbhole not being used.

The gloved thumbholes don't look that bad in these photos. I've seen photos of the First Base LS where it really looks like a cut off finger on a glove.

@anon 1:30 - looks can be deceiving. how much fat you pack is 80% diet, and only about 20% exercise-based (setting aside things like genetics and hormones, etc.) there's a saying "abs are made in the kitchen, not the gym". you can be super active and carrying around the extra pounds. likewise, you can be very skinny and weak! i work as a trail guide and have seen SO MANY heavier people who were KILLING it hiking uphill while the skinny fit-looking things were DYING. they were skinny-fat! and i've also seen some heavier looking girls kick ass lifting at crossfit. not saying that this is the case at the union square store, because i haven't grilled the girls there to find out what they do - but i think your comment just demonstrates your ignorance about fitness in general.

Anon 4:12, you are awesome! That made my day. :)

Wow...there are some very "unclassy" comments on this blog!! :(
-First comment of the day (Ive just made it)

Anonymous said...

LOL at the skinny-fat comment... totally true--I know because that is me! Been skinny my whole life with not much muscle and have always just wanted to look "normal". I've started working out with a trainer & have been so excited to see a tiny bit of muscle on my Olive Oyl body you have no idea.
I wish women weren't so judgmental about one another... geez it's really hurtful and unkind.

@anon 4:12 - ok, i laughed out loud. thank you for that!!

On the GapFit "E&F" try on report: they seemed just as thick / sheer as the Lulu ones, when I tried on the black. When I tried on the Gap greyish navy color (comparable to Inkwell), I thought it was a tad thicker actually because the material seems to be thicker around the butt area unless I'm imagining this. Keep in mind the Gap version is about 1-2 inches shorter though. Anyway given the quality holds up to Lulu at almost 1/3 the price, I'm sold!!

I lift wights and run and also workout heavily with kettlebells. I sued to be skinny and weak and I would rather be strong and chunky (muscle chunky) any day. I think it is hard to judge fitness by appearance.

Fitness should be about being healthy not about being pretty, we all judge each other on what we look like and honestly all it does is hurt other people, we are all made of the same ingredients we were just baked in different ovens:) lets all love each other and get along, as far as the Lulu up load, i will save my judgement on the shorter swiftlys till i get mine I am only 5'3" so i like things shorter than some.
lets all get along
